HOW TO ROOT THE TECNO F5

•Requirements•

Root master or Vroot

Download: Vroot.apk

Or

RootMaster.apk


Procedures:

° Download Vroot.apk
° Install it to phone memory
° Open Vroot.
° Click the root button and wait.

If successful you'll get a prompt. This Installs a Chinese Root manager.

•Note: If this doesn't root your phone uninstall it and install RootMaster instead(it's in Chinese). Click on the big button. It should check all boxes.

HOW TO CHANGE THE ROOT MANAGER

If you aren't okay with the Chinese root manager it can be replaced.

• Download and Install SuperSu from the Playstore.
• Run the app.
• you should see a prompt telling you to update SU binary. update it. You'll get a root prompt in Chinese. Click on Allow(the right one)
• After the binary update download Link2SD.
• Run it. Scroll through the app list and locate the Chinese root manager.
• Click on it and chose the FREEZE option.
• Go back to SuperSu app. It should ask for binary update again. Update it.
•Go to the SuperSU settings tab. Install SuperSu to /system.(This preserves root access after a factory reset)
Now you can uninstall the frozen Chinese root manager via Link2SD.

NOTE: Before uninstallation make sure SuperSU is working well.

The Tecno M3 battery does work on it. It's very sleek. Although the battery is just a measly 1500maH.

I used Vroot.

First, Install Root Master. After first root attempt and it doesn't work, Install Vroot replacing Root Master. If that still doesn't grant you root access, revert back to Root Master and try again.
