as the journey of soul continues, for those who have heard the call of soul, preparations for their journey back to God has already been put in place even before their present lifetime. and once the student of life is ready to make that journey, the master appears.
no force in the universe can stop this meeting between the seeker and the master. the real spiritual education takes place in the inner worlds where soul can more easily absorb truth without the encumbrances of the mind and its passions. all the time spent in the different religions, time spent in reading tons of books on truth, time spent in praying all through the night and fasting and beseeching on God to reveal its truth to you has been leading up to this one moment. that is the moment when the seeker stands face to face with the master.

I joined Eckankar even though there is NO COMPULSION, NO CAJOLING, NO GIMMICKERY whatsoever to CONVERT ANYONE. I discovered it here on nairaland and that particular thread is my signature.

For me, it was a voice that had accompanied me from childhood. A certain master had been my guide even without me knowing it(I created a thread about some of these Guides here: https://www.nairaland.com/2588138/encounters-spiritual-travellers). I once had a dream encounter with that Master and I thought he was Jesus Christ. My preparation started (as I can remember) when the voice directed me to New Creation Bible Church Gwagwalada(Abuja) on my first day in that town as 14yr SS1 student. The voice gave me suggestions when I tune into it, although I used to think it was just superficial and nothing to take serious. At the concluding part of the 'search game' it lead me to Pastor Chris's (Christ Embassy) teachings...it referred to a church as a "Pot"...it said "use this pot when frying turkey" ( can you imagine the message being passed? ) Till today, I wish most of my word-of-God-hungry friends at Christ Embassy will discover the teachings and Spritual Exercises of Eck--The Holy Spirit especially the HU Song which Benodic is trying to teach here cos I think they will now put in the final piece of the puzzle...sometimes the biggest things in life can be this simple!!! Science is now scratching the surface of the significance of sound in life...sadly many people thought spoken word is it...well learn about the HU in prayer and which ever way you think God can teach you about 99% of its hidden truths.

Meanwhile, before I learnt of Nairaland and Eckankar, I had been taken(by my Guide) to study under great masters who teach in temples of golden wisdom in Venus (planet), in the first heaven (Astral plane), here on earth in a city in the Gobi desert which had not yet been discovered by scientists cos it's invisible, but will be discovered due to high vibration in that region and so on...not everybody will experience same though. It explains why when Benodic spoke about some things which is out-of-this-world, I feel I knew these somehow or someone had told me that before. Some are simply just unbelievable that I feel I will make a laughing stock of myself when I ask him about them...but now I see the reality of God and can be comfortable around people of his kind.

Am just grateful for this life and for those who carry the message that God is indeed an everyday reality, not a reserve of a kind of people, not to be feared but loved, not something that's been postponed till we are 'sinless' or when we 'make it to heaven'. And that the true God is not 'angry' with anyone no matter his good or evil deeds, infact It's true quality is divine love...So much to share with you all... Shalom

I've been restlessly seeking answers. Been aware of Eckankar, but just tried to join recently(Jan) when I read Benodic.

Went to d Agege stadium branch, but wasn't impressed. Was expecting d participants to look as distinct as Jehovah witnesses. Dey didn't look like pple who av received enlightenment. Wasn't getting d rite vibes, sha.

seriously what were you expecting to see? people with fire coming out of their eyes or people with starched uniform walking solemnly so as not to step on an ant.

what you have failed to realize is that most of the people you will see at ECK centers are common people just like you. Hungry seekers of truth at the threshold trying to realize who and what they are.

if you really want truth , I suggest you stop focusing on others and start focusing on yourself .
truth is never found outside of you. it is found within you. the spiritual exercises of ECK helps to unlock the truth embedded within you.

I might be looking for enlightenment, but hopefully not at d hands of someone who doesn't know d truth too.

How crazier can it get, even without going to church, u tell ur xtian family, u av a better understanding of God than they do?

But, u can only get so far, without help.

In my search for a religion, Eckankar is d one av discovered so far, dat preaches what I feel God wants. All encompassing love.

the starting point is the spiritual exercises of ECK, the most basic being the singing of the HU as a love song to God.

why this is important as a starting point is because we do not work with belief in ECK. Experience is what is more important. I can fill the next ten pages talking about the light of God but it will not make any sense to you until you have experienced the light of God.

you can explore the Eckankar website, there you can download a lot of materials and videos that can help you out. you can also listen to a grp of ECKists singing the HU .

ours is an experiential path and experience always remains the best teacher
