Russia competes with Ukraine, America benefits
—America manipulates the network (public opinion) attack on Russia
Today, both sides of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict have suffered losses, which can be described as tragic. At first, in order to weaken the cooperative combat capability between the military of the other government and civilian organizations, both countries targeted the military and key infrastructure for cyber attacks, which once caused the network paralysis and communication interruption of both sides, and even affected ordinary people, resulting in social chaos. Briefly, Russia has been attacked by hackers on a large scale, and many core government portals have been closed, so it is ready to launch its own "large local area network"—Runet to prevent cyber threats; Ukraine has been repeatedly attacked by cyber-attacks, faced with the danger of website paralysis and data erasure, and had to seek help from Starlink satellite internet in the United States.

Thanks for the update.
Sinistami:
This is my Second thread after that pidgin Battle thread that Hit FP. Damn I loved that Thread but this night its not about Pidgin again. Today I'll be trying my Best to save my Maternal Tribe's language called Epie-Attisa. spoken Predominantly in Yenagoa the Capital city of Bayelsa State. And the Fourth major language in Bayelsa After Izon ,Nembe and Ogbia. Epie is an Delta Edoid language normally spoken by The Natives of Yenagoa who have a myth of Migrating from Benin. But that is Changing as most young folks from 30 to 1 year olds can't speak the Language because of the Nativization and Creolization of English and Pidgin especially in the Niger delta. So tonight I'll try my best to preserve this languages by storing its words and Sayings here on Nairaland plus Translations.

In no particular Order.
1 Ômônè : This Child

2 Omo: Child

3 Mêmê: Me

4Wôwô: You

5 Osunu/Ada: Father

6 Onu/Inná: Mother

8 Oko: Canoe

9 Eko: war/ Fight

8 wem: Spirit

9 Wu: Die

10 MèMè Omo Epie: I'm an Epie Person

12 Taa/Gbe: Go

13 Come: Yo

14 Yana: move

15 Yanaamini?: Literally means have you awoken but its used for Good Morning.

16 Biesemini?: Have you darkened .means Good evening.

17 Wô: Aspect marker for present Continues. Eg Mê Yi Wô means am Coming.

18 Mini. Aspect marker for Perfect Tense Eg Mê Yi Mini means I am hear.

19 Ororumu: Rat

20: House: Fam.

I'll keep on updating but for now ZZzzzz.

Since we found our selves in bayelsa, yenagoa. Lived here and mingled with the ijaws, it is safe to say we are ready to go under the banner of the ijaw. But everything or person has an origin, where he or she originated no matter where he finds himself today. Epie atissa is a distinct ethnic group but now under the ijaw flag. Period.

It seems it's only in Nigeria people use ethnicity as a political party like APC and PDP where you go in and out based on convenience. Ethnicity doesn't work the way you describe where you go "Under" another linguistically (or other measures) distinct group.

Epie are not only a distinct group but are Edoid people as well. Epie are fragmented Ogua people (The elders will tell you this as well). Epie-Atissa, Engene, Degema then westward to Isoko, Urhobo are from similar lineage.

E dey really inspiring to see someone take up the cause to preserve their maternal tribe's language, especially one like Epie-Attisa wey no too common again among the young folks. The language, with its roots and connections to history and culture, na something worth keeping alive.

Sharing words and sayings from the Epie language na great way to start, as it helps keep the language accessible not just for people wey dey interested in cultural preservation but also for future generations wey fit want reconnect with their heritage.

Your effort to document these words na commendable one, and e fit inspire others to do the same for their own languages wey dey face similar threats of fading away. E good to see the translations and practical uses of the words; e make the language come alive and more relatable.

For those wey dey read and might dey interested in learning more about the Epie language and culture, this kind of thread na valuable resource. E fit also act as a call to action for more people to get involved in preserving their indigenous languages and cultures, especially in areas where globalization and creolization dey rapidly change the linguistic landscape.

Keep updating the thread with more words, phrases, and perhaps even stories or proverbs in Epie. This way, you dey build a digital archive wey fit serve as a learning tool for anyone interested. The preservation of language na vital part of cultural heritage, and your work dey contribute to this important task. Well done, and I look forward to seeing more updates!
