So today I'll be posting the review of umidigi a5 pro which I termed THE BEST PHONE UNDER $100
it's a very amazing and powerful device yet very affordable and unbelievable at it's price

Here is a quick overview of its specs:
Helio p23 octa core 2.0ghz.
Android 9 pie.
4gb ram/ 32gb rom.
4150mah battery.
16mp+8mp+5mp triple rear camera.
16mp front facing camera.
Dual 4g support.
6.3" water drop notch.
1080*2340 resolution
Height：156 mm
Width：75.9 mm
Thickness：8.2 mm
Weight：203g

Now let's get down to umisness

Design

The 6.3" umidigi a5 pro rocks a front and back glass design
Which is available in two variant Space Grey and Breathing Crystal
It also studs a metallic edge which gives it a solid build including the Sim tray and the volume rocker keys
It's also equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack, a single bottom firing speaker and mouth piece and also got a fingerprint placement at the back.

DISPLAY

This smartphone comes out of the box with a 1080x2280 400ppi FHD+ incell LTPS screen which can be viewed by all angle ( I personally call it infinity display ) the display gives out clear and crispy resolution and also the brightness is at 500 nit and very bright

now moving over to the interesting part
The smartphone is equipped with an octa core helio p23 processor which clocks at a speed of 2.0Ghz (4xcortex A53 2.0ghz, 4xcortex A531.5ghz) and all the cores share tasks to give you a fluid performance.

it's also equipped with 4 gigabytes of ram which gives a very much needed assistance in multitasking and can hold background apps for quite a long time and also can run mutliple apps without having to force close some of them

The phones also processes graphics with a ARM Mali G71 MP2 700MHz which can take on games like Pes19, Modern combat 5, PUBG, Asphalt 9 at medium settings without any lag.

camera the smartphone is also termed the Triple camera king (of the mid-range of course )
The phones spots a 16MP primary camera, Sony IMX398/Samsung S5K2P7, F/1.8, 6P lens
8MP ultra-wide angle camera(120° wide-angle) and
5MP depth camera with dual flash

The waterdrop notch houses a 16mp front camera and the incall speaker with other sensor

The camera supports Ultra-wide angle mode
Portrait mode
HDR
Dual LED flash
Face recognition
Real-time filters

Battery

This smartphone is powered by a 4150mah battery which lasts pretty over 5-6 hours on heavy usage, 7-8 hours on normal usage and up to 4-5 days on standby

Umidigi a5 pro supports two Sim card which is dual 4G enabled and a dedicated slot for SD card which is really good to support the 32gb internal memory

But it's an international shipping and warranty doesn't usually workout however we don't buy this phones hoping they develop issues

I don't think I can do umidigi again!


My A3 camera packed up just 2 weeks after purchasing.


The rear camera and flashlight are currently not working. Only the front selfie and it's even upside down...


All efforts to get it fixed by jumia and the umidigi company proved abortive..



Honestly I'm disappointed!

You are right, but my brother bought Umidigi A3 and it developed problem within one month of usage til date that problem has not been fixed

Yes I know. But not until I get the camera spare part. I was told that it is not in Nigeria and I don't know how to import it from China

Please, tell me more about the phone- camera, battery,memory, processor and general performance. I want to get my first phone( have never used an android phone before) and I don't want to buy a phone that will start giving me issues within weeks or months, or phone that I'll regret buying.

If you follow what others think you'll be confused. Follow your instincts. Some buy it for price tag and some buy it for another thing. Look between the thin paper margin to make your choice.
