Those with short term last longer but of course, it is what it is: short term and u have to come subscribe again!

I just checked the MTN app and you're correct. The problem is that the data finishes quickly, I've restricted background apps I don't download yet data finishes in less than a month.

The real issue has is with the smartphones. Smartphones are consuming more data.

Each day I use about 700 MB of data on chrome alone. There's still Instagram, twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp, Messenger etc.

Web pages with their fancy contents and smoothness consume a lot of data these days. With normal usage Airtel 1500 for 6 GB lasts roughly 5 days for me.

I have be running around just for a cheap and affordable data first it was Mtn the. Ported to Glo from glo went to Airtel mayb I will switch back to MtN

Datally app lets you know which app is guzzling you data, but what do u do if its your regular app - stop using it?

Turn off background activities for those apps. Even when your phone is supposedly idle, those apps run in the background and consume a lot of data. This is what most people don't know.

Also, if you hotspot your phone to your pc or use a MiFi and you are on Windows 10, set your connection as a "Metered Connection". That way, Windows 10 updates don't run automatically. Reason being that Microsoft removed the ability to disable Windows updates on Windows 10.

People keep complaining about data getting used up quickly without evidence. Most of them have apps which use the data without them knowing.

Before blaming the network providers, when next you want to recharge, reset your 'mobile data usage monitor' on your phone. That way, you can monitor how your data is used, can track what apps use your data and if the network provider is not giving what is stated.

The recurrent talk of 'opening one page and my data finishes' cannot be proven. I've noticed that most people who say this use up the data themselves without knowing.

I have since migrated to airtel line with 100 I will have 1gb for the night 25naira 250mb the beauty of it is you can subscribe it multiple times in 1 night that's way I love it never coming back to mtn again
