Spiritual brokenness means to surrender, to allow yourself to be crushed, accepting defeat and most importantly, yielding to obedience and total submission in Christ. Is. 1:19, 2nd Cor. 2:2-9, Gen. 12:1.

Sometimes, brokenness before God is a result of sin or certain circumstances in our lives, (check Nathan's visit to David- 2nd Sam. 12. and Ps. 51.)
God understands how difficult it is to let go and He recognizes the spiritual maturity that is being shaped in us during this process.

God works with each of us in His way. The way He breaks you may be different from the way He breaks me.
And the timing is in His hands. God can bring an individual to the place of brokenness in six months, one year, five years or even a life long process 10,20,30 years.
Do not resist to be broken.
For some Good wants to break our pride, our stiff neck, unwillingness to bend, lustful desires, worldly pleasures, disobedience, spiritual laziness, unforgivness, strife etc.

Our worst enemy as Christians is our own stubborn unbroken life.
Do not resist his breaking ultimately delaying the good work He is trying to fulfill in us. The only person that can delay God's promise in your life is you!
2nd Cor. 1:20 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
