Starlink has officially scrapped the 1TB thing from the residential plan which I believe is now called STANDARD.

How are you able to use 5GHZ band ? I use iPhone 12promax
Funny thing about that 5GHz thing... It goes on and off on my Samsung S21 and stay put on my android box, smart TV and laptops at home

I'll advise you rename your 5ghz connection with another name, then connect your phone to it.

See my naming pattern

StarJ24... 2.4Ghz
StarJ50....5.0Ghz

I don't think it's the naming pattern

It was never implemented to begin with. But I hope the service doesn’t face degradation sha

Then you can connect to StarJ50

Which other ISP's would allow this a month without heavy throttling 🤷🏼‍♂️

Unfortunately they won't be everywhere like Starlink. Imagine when you see this but they tell you they are not available in your location. More than 27 ISP's gave me that news last year. FiberOne or other ISP's would work for me but you see that location ehn

I agree with you. It can be a pain to be told your area isn't covered. With Starlink, you're well taken care of. smiley

The starlink wifi router is super fast and the coverage can go quite a good distance to cover the entire house. However, it didn’t meet my expectations in terms of Control and use. It should have features such as
Users management
* device block/unblock
* device data allocation
* parental control features
* content filtering
Etc

Best thing that has happened to me as a Nigerian is starlink

I'm not sure i fully understand the idea behind these new Priority plans. The cheapest one which is Standard is unlimited and the Priority is capped? Though it says once you exceed Priority data, then you're auto switched to the Standard unlimited so by thinking is that the Priority Data is FASTER?

The rate at which Starlink is shifting goal post, they might eventually relocate the Stadium. I am hearing that the FREE Night Plan (11pm - 7am) is being terminated too.

Well I just realised that the Night data thing is no longer required since the plan is now 100% unlimited, so no need for day and night data truely.

Actually it's the other way around. Since it's now official worldwide that there is no data cap, then there is no need for fair usage time again. PS in Naija all our plans are unlimited

Good Morning All

I'm having issues with Our newly acquired STARLINK kit.

At first, when ON & connected it, It detected Network signal but
afterwards when we ON the decoder and setup the Dish, it hasn't been
displaying the StarLink signal again.

Kindly assist.

Thanks & regards.

I would like to believe you tested it outdoor and not indoor as I am seeing in the pic you posted. Starlink doesn't work indoor. It should be placed outside where it must have unhindered clear view of the sky, preferably at the highest point of you house, your roof.

When I spoke with him, he isn't sure the address matches the service for the router.

The naming doesn’t matter as long as your phone is 5GHZ compatible it will connect but I strongly recommend splitting and set auto connect on the 5GHZ network
