Where is this? I mean location and is your dish placed on a pole?
On top of overhead tank, that's were I got the clear view of sky without obstruction.
Trust me, the location with obstruction will amount to unstable Internet connection.

To be honest, there's still alot of question marks around this part. My guy has not been able to renew subscription for his own as the dollar card on his account went missing and every other card he has tried to add to his account didn't work.
He tried
- New dollar card from Standard Chartered
- Gotok
- Payday
- Grey
- My Providus Bank Card
- My GT Bank Credit Card

Nothing worked.

So, safe to say the problem is from Starlink. Anyways, his own subscription Suppose don expire since as na 31st January he order and till now it's still working and he hasn't been able to pay.

All that said, check the invoices on your Starlink account to have a better understanding of what your payment periods are. See mine below.

- Automatic Payment Reminder on 4th of March
- Payment Period is for March 4th to April 3rd
- Actual Payment Debited on the 11th Of March

I hope this helps. Cheers!

This has been discussed before on this thread.

Just make sure you have up to $42.16 on your card. Once it's your due date, the system will automatically debit your card.

Moreover, you are sent an email reminder a week before your due date.

Standard Chartered USD. The card isn't the problem. Manually trying to renew is the problem. It will renew automatically. Just leave the money on the card. The problem is from Starlink. My guy can't renew for like 2 months now, he just dey browse dey go lol

Watch my Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest Video

The problem also is that Starlink USA ships it to Starlink Nigeria and uses your name as Care/Of C/O. So please make sure you contact DHL and update your information with them IMMEDIATELY you get your tracking number.

My friend has Starlink and we are brainstorming on how to extend it to another house on the same street 2km away. Got any suggestions? Thanks

Why the brainstorming? you just need a point to point access .

Another video showing the setup with starlink. You will need to factor in the cost of all equipment to see if it's worth it. You will need 2 of the devices beam one to the next, plus a router at the 2nd location as well. Other things to consider are the electricity issues, reduction in speed, etc.

By the way, here's what the Starlink Ethernet adaptor looks like. I have it hooked up to a TP-Link Deco X55 Mesh system to help cover 3 floors.

cc: Big man georgee

Hey, sup brother, how u dey.
So a few questions, I'm also in a 3 floor terrace..
1. Did you test the range/signal strength before you got the Deco or you just got them from the start? If you tested, what was it like on all 3 floors without the Deco?

2. I assume your dishy is on your (flat) roof? How did you install it pls? I have been brain storming on the perfect way to have it on the roof when it arrives.

3. Doesn't using the Decos mean you're not using the Starlink router at all? Seems oke has to bypass the Starlink router all together, no? A brief on the set up would be nice.

4. Lastly, is this the exact Ethernet adapter you got? (attached)

By the way, my most recent order was on the 20th of March and it's shipped on the 24th, to arrive tomorrow 27th. 1 week from order to delivery. It appears they have restocked the Lagos inventory and things should be faster at least for now. I had one order in Feb that didn't ship for nearly 3 weeks, had to cancel it.

Mine also showed shipped on 24th, tracking doesn’t give an estimated delivery date, no address. The 150ft cable I ordered same day got shipped earlier shows its arrival date to be 30th. Also is your tracking number same as your order number?

No it’s not the same. It’s a tracking number, different from bala…never mind.

Click on the tracking number link in your starlink profile and then it’ll take you to the DHL tracking page. There you willl see the correct tracking number.

No be me you ask but I go answer anyway.

1. The starlink mesh doesn’t do well vertically. Don’t stress yourself.

2. This one…I will know the answer later today when I install mine. I also have a flat roof. Scared of heights but for starlink…I will brave the trail!!!

3. Yeah, you’ll have to go into the router and click the bypass toggle. You should be aware of the downsides of using a mesh system though. Google will help you with that. But the deco is fairly easy to setup. I’ll try to get you a link.

EDIT!! Here you go: CLICK HERE[url]

4. Yes, that’s the correct adapter

Go into DHL website and put in your tracking number , then add your number and email for notification . Starlink normally create and invoice and then say shipped while they configure the system for you . the day they will drop the equipment with DHL , if will be with DHL for a day pending Starling paying DHL for shipment . If you turn on the notification, you will see all that

Thanks so much for your responses. One more pls.
Is there a very good alternative to the Deco X55 (AX3000) that's not as expensive as it is? For example, can this one still serve well?

Let me help you because I am nice. You don't need any fancy mesh system. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B092VXR7B5/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=A9OG4LL1QK8P1&psc=1 this will work too.

Starlink is giving up to 250Mbps. You don't need gigabit speeds on your mesh.

Please check if it can exceed 100mbps. Most cheap mesh do not exceed 100mbps even when you internet speed exceeds 100mbps

1. Starlink router has 'okay' range at best. If you are going to use on more than one floor, you need an extender. If you have money. Get a Triband one like the XE75.

2. Same people that installed my Solar Panels installed my Starlink.

3. Main Deco plugs into the Starlink and becomes a router on it's own. Then you can plug in other decos around as many as you want and they'll all talk to each other and create a WiFi bubble so that you always stay connected all around the house without disconnecting and connecting to another router / extender. Mesh network. It's seamless. Starlink has their own Mesh system. One is $185 but I paid same amount for 3 Deco X55.

4. I think so yes. Just make sure it's for Gen 2 Dishy. They would usually write it in the description or product name.

Alot of Nigerians have been reselling Starlink for 580K. Nonsense. Abusing it already. How will buyers pay for their renewal? Which account did they order it with? If they need to change address, how? Anyways, these 'unnecessary' vendors are the cause of the shortage. People will not find real work or business, they turn everything into business.

This is wrong. Gigabit speeds or not, better Mesh system means better WiFi performance especially. The Deco X20 will perform worse than X55 even on Starlink and the X55 worse than the XE75. And they are all Gigabit mesh systems. The only time you should not bother about performance is when you are connecting the mesh nodes to LAN cables in each of their locations.

@Toluxa1 Are you connecting each node to LAN cables or via WiFi? I went with the Deco X55 only because I don't need MAXIMUM speeds on the other 2 floors. I was even tempted to go with a Tri-Band system like the XE75 which dedicates one band ONLY for the nodes to talk to each other while the other 2 bands are free for Internet, but na budget sef stop me.

Use 10LANDPET code on Amazon to get 10% off any Deco mesh system of your choice. You are welcome smiley

Its crazy how nigerians always want to twist and turn things around just to make money not minding the consequences. I have been seeing so many sellers advertising and I wondered how they even got about ordering multiple units with their email address or maybe they used multiple accounts as well. SMH

Is anybody having issues with the delivery of their starlink dish? Starlink sent me message since Friday that the dish has shipped. As suggested by some people on this thread, I called DHL to ask if my phone number was included, they said No, It wasnt included that I should go and update my number on starlink's website. I said my number is already updated on starlink as I can clearly see my number on my starlink account. I asked the DHL customer agent, if He can help me add my number... He said No, that only the shipper(Starlink) can edit/add new details to the shipment. What is the way forward guys? DHL Website shows the item will get to me on Thursday. But how will they reach me?
