He has set two new records on Spotify - with 111.4 million monthly listeners and for being the first artist to reach 100 million monthly listeners. His song "Blinding Lights"has also become the most streamed song of all time on Spotify with 3.47 billion listens.

The Weeknd has left behind other famous artists such as Shakira, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Ed Sheeran. This is not the first time The Weeknd has made it into the Guinness World Records, as he has previously been awarded the titles of Most Streamed Album of 2015 and Most Consecutive Weeks in the Billboard Hot 100's Top 10 by a solo male artist.
