Some protesters, under the auspices of Save Nigeria Movement on Wednesday, stormed the National Assembly in Abuja to register their displeasure over the outcome of the February 25 presidential election in Nigeria.

The protesters who carried placards with various inscriptions such as “Save our Democracy,” “Politicians are killing our Democracy,” and “INEC killing the Nigerian Democracy,” among others, reiterated their earlier call for the annulment of the 2023 presidential election.

The protest, which took off from the Unity Fountain in Maitama, paralyzed vehicular movement in the heart of the nation’s capital for hours.

The demonstrators, however, met stiff resistance as they were denied entrance into the National Assembly premises by security men.

The DPO of the National Assembly who came out to address the protesters said there was no written request for permission from the group or the relevant authorities, and as such, the protesters cannot be allowed into the National Assembly premises.

Leader and co-Convener of the Free Nigeria Group, Dr Moses Ogidi Paul, while addressing newsmen, described the Independent National Electoral Commision, INEC, as a failed institution.

He called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of its chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu for supervising what he tagged a fraudulent presidential election.

Other members of the group equally expressed their pain over the conduct of the presidential poll.

This is coming less than 24 hours after the group staged a similar protest to the headquarters of INEC where they demanded immediate removal of the INEC chairman.

It is understandable that were it the mandate criminals this gross abuse of electoral, democratic and constitutional processes was meted out to, they would have been organising another Ojota Save Nigeria or Occupy Nigeria groups protests in Lagos or Abuja.

Now, all the then vocal antagonists of that era have not only lost their voices but also their rights. So much wickedness in the land.

There is no stopping the collective resolve of a determined people. Meanwhile, please rest people! Let the courts take it up from here.

It's better that eye-neck chairman submits himself for questioning or he exports himself as a cargo to a country that will accommodate him. Cos all eyes are on him

Nigerians are coming.

Tinubu will not be president of Nigeria. His embezelled funds over the years will play a huge part in the new Nigeria.
Those pushing him, are pushing him to a great and painful disgrace and shame, which may be too much to bear.

Good one. We'll continue pressing their necks until we suffocate them out of power. Imagine people who ought to be in jail parading the corridors of power.

These ones are just decorators of the stage for the real men wey go perform.

When Men go start the real protest, souls will be prematurely Judged.

The Judiciary has the power to safeguard this country when they still can.

They shouldn't mess that opportunity up.
