State Power Generation - SE States ASLEEP As Lagos State Launches Power Projects

............

GENTLEMEN, I WANT TO ASK ONE QUESTION.

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE FG THAT STATES CAN NOW GENERATE THEIR OWN ELECTRICITY, OCCURRED ABOUT A WEEK AGO I BELIEVE.

SO HOW COME IT IS ONLY LAGOS STATE THAT WAS SO QUICK OFF THE MARK TO ARRANGE THIS HUGE 'ELECTRICITY MARKET' POWER GENERATION PROJECT IN RESPONSE TO THE ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE FG?

WHERE IS ANAMBRA, IMO, ABIA, ENUGU'S PLAN FOR GENERATING ELECTRICITY?

THIS IS WHY I SAY THAT THIS WHOLE IGBO SECESSIONISM IS STUPID AND MISGUIDED.

TELL ME SOMETHING.

IS IT AFTER YOU DECLARE BIAFRA THAT YOUR LEADERS WILL SUDDENLY GET SENSE AND TURN PROGRESSIVE, AND START WORKING?

HOW SO?

BY MAGIC?

BY ABRACADABRA?

SEE, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH COUNTRY YOU PUT YOURSELVES IN, WHETHER BIAFRA OR NIGERIA OR CONGO.

IF YOUR LEADERS ARE USELESS AND GREEDY, NOTHING WILL CHANGE FOR YOU.

NONSENSE.

Honestly. Their leaders believe in doing only just enough to prevent starvation, fix some roads, and they consider their job done.

Very little sense of a true willingness to develop the region. To take it to the next level.

Name me ONE single world class project built in the East by their state governors in the last 40 years.

Nothing.

Yet their governors receive monthly allocation of millions of dollars from the national purse.

It's really sad.

This new dispensation whereby states can now generate their own electricity is actually a step on the road towards the RESTRUCTURING we are all demanding for Nigeria.

It is a HUGE step.

Game changer.

The FG is slowly handing power to the states and regions, to pave their own path.

Soon we may see state police introduced etc etc.

You would expect that the people shouting for secession, restructuring, etc would be the first to jump at these new developments, instantly setting up working systems for themselves independent of the FG.

Instead, inertia.

Siddon look attitude.

Useless.

Continue empty noise and propaganda with Lagos State government. Yorubaland is dead and we all know it. Barth Nnaji and Earnest Azidalu Obiejesi have built power plant in the East long ago before this noise from Lagos State. Yoruba socialism will be able to withstand igbo capitalism. You better wake up

Hahaha. Dangote refinery doesn't produce gas. Aba has Shell gas pipeline. The one in Ogun takes from Niger Delta. Yorubaland is a joke

And why not seeing the qualities needed to organise a protest so well executed it captured the international air waves for days required courage, initiative and drive. Qualities we are now so enfeebled, so morally vacous we happily agree belong to the ibos.

From Kola Odetola....

We cant even plan coups properly. The most incompetent coup ever planned in Nigerian history was the one plotted by yoruba officers in beer parlours over pepper soup and big stout against Abacha leading to its most senior officer grovelling before the dictator pleading for his miserable life  . The coup before that planned by ibo and delta officers - the Orkar putsch in 1990 saw the prime movers defiant to the bitter end, facing death with

Continued....

We have these last few weeks of eternal shame revealed our weakness, our insecurity, the spiritual barrenness that now lies like a void at the centre of our world. We fear a yoruba man because he has an ibo mother ! Thats how supine, how fearful we have become. We forget the yorubas killed in their hundreds last year by state protected fulani gunmen because we are desperate to be awarded office by those who defile our women and pillage our land. Principle counts for nothing. We are up for sale and not for very much. This is how far we have fallen
