* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for facilitating discussions, addressing user concerns, and upholding forum regulations.
* Conflict resolution abilities and a commitment to neutrality and fairness when addressing disputes or controversial subjects.
* Prior experience in moderating online forums or similar platforms, along with an active presence in Nairaland's politics section, is highly desirable.

Sir, this is a step in the right direction but you need a heavy element of automation in the moderation process.

Posts that contain abusive or negative ethnically tinted words should be automatically held in abeyance waiting for a mod to manually review. Review process can take as long as needed.

A poster that has three of these should be automatically suspended and awaiting manual review to reinstate.

Only allow new accounts between certain times.

Quite frankly, you will need a minimum of 10 extremely active moderators to restore sanity to the politics section.

Good luck with it all anyway. There's still hope for you to "drain the swamp" to quote Donald Trump.

Seun for you to have peace of mind politics section moderator should never be Igbo not even if he is a member of the APC I support, to balance this you should not employ a Yoruba as moderator in politics section. Pls not it is not that Yoruba can not moderate without boas but to be fair while stopping any agitation from the Igbos.
