I congratulate the Reverenced Benin Monarch on it's accomplishment in the fight to reclaim our lost artifacts.

It was with great pride and a deep sense of fulfillment that I had received the news of the Federal Government's issuance of a gazette recognizing ownership and vesting custody and management of repatriated Benin Artifacts to the Oba of Benin.

It is a great time in our collective history, that the repatriation of our artifacts that began many years ago has now been brought to a successful conclusion under the reign of Oba Eware II.

I most specifically commend the minister of information, culture and tourism Lia Mohammed. I thank the crowned Prince of Benin Kingdom, Prince Ezelekhae Ewuare, Edos in diaspora and also very importantly, the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki.

To our amiable Oba; May your reign last long. May the Benin Kingdom flow with prosperity and peace.
