I've always wondered why we have refused to invest in tourism, considering how it could go a long way in solving some economic woes.

This country only cares about oil. The leaders are clueless idiots. I can't wait for the oil to finish. Maybe then we'll divide this British company.

Painful as it is, the bolded is true.
I would only stop believing it when I see REAL PATRIOTIC NIGERIAN LEADERS.
Right now, what I see are groups of niggers trying to "out-nigger" one another.
Clueless idiots think they are outsmarting others when they are in fact enslaving their own future generations.
But I believe in miracles.
In Nigeria, ANYTHING can happen. cool

insecurity.
Is their insecurity in Delta state?

Many years ago when there was no insecurity, they still didn’t invest in tourism!

Nigerians are not rich enough .... investing in such projects would never break even

My brother n owner of landmark is barely struggling

Ask the owner of that place if he is making profit

Once Nigeria GDP per capita reaches $10000 to $15,000 then things like this can happen ....this is what Peter obi was saying ....build the people first .... everything would follow naturally

Only way they can happen now is government but it would never be profitable reason it's not maintained

Maybe as a people/race we are not capable of some things.... Because I just don't know why we can't solve simple problems for decades.

We just want to leech on the resources of a tiny minority that we failed in all aspects of life.

The Mambilla and Obudu highlands are as scenic as the Scottish highlands. The difference between the two is security, peace, tranquility and the rule of law is absent in the former and available in the latter!

Another issue is lack of adequate infrastructure in Nigeria like smooth and nice highways, safe and modern railways and electricity!

That is it. There is poverty in the land. Only a few numbers of Nigerians can actually sustain such ventures.

Unfortunately, I don't see things improving anytime soon. We are in for a long cruise bro.

The main issue with Nigeria is gap in suffering threshold .....what igbos see n complain ....others see it as unwarranted complain

South east, south south n north minorities have reached their elastic suffering limits

South west haven't they can't still be played by tribalism

North feel they are enjoying ....

Regional system is the best

For many of us, we are now coming to the realization that the only possible way out is dissolution or regional system of government with zero central power. That way we know who to hold accountable.

The clueless governors we have in so many states are hiding under the failure of the central government to loot.

What would be the point of investing in tourism? Who would come?

Buhari's administration was busy proscribing and declaring groups such as IPOB, in 2017, IMN, in 2018, as terrorists. Neither IPOB nor IMN were armed, nor had any accusation of killed anyone then

What clueless Buhari never understood is that the more you declare terrorists groups, the more you scare away tourists, expatriates and foreign investors

Recently, The Institute Of Economics And Peace(IEP), rated IPOB the 10th deadliest terror group in the world, although they later made a clarification on that

But what is striking about that is that some Nigerians were busy rejoicing that IPOB gad been recognised internationally as terrorist group without realising two things

That the same IEP ranked two Nigerian groups worse than IPOB. Boko haram in the North East, and ISWAP in the North West, were ranked 6th and 7th place

So if IEP says that Nigeria is hosting three group's that are amongst the 10 top terrorist groups in the world, which tourist, foreign investor or expatriate do you think will come to Nigeria?

If it was you, would you want to go to a country like Nigeria that both its government and international institutions are pushing out the narrative that they are hosting multiple terrorist groups?
grin grin grin grin

Countries that boom based on tourism are the ones with high sense of security, rule of law and touristic attractions

Nigeria has touristic attractions, but not the other two
