THE SANCTITY OF HUMAN BLOOD.

Blood, especially human blood is sacred and must be treated with reverence. Human blood, for whatever reason must not be shed. This may sound sarcastic but that's the truth. Despite the fact that King David was a man after God's own heart, God insisted that he (David) will not build a house in His (God's) name because he 'hast shed blood'. God values blood so much so that He said 'the life of every creature is its blood'. If this is the case, why do people take delight in shedding blood including those of innocent people? Except for the purpose of self defense, I do not think there's any reason to justify sheding of blood. As a corporeal being, it may seem or appear justifiable to take out the live(s) of some people especially, those who have hurt us in a very significant way. But by eliminating the supposed offender, the offence is not reversed. The only succour or compensation in this regard is the feeling that justice has been served on the offender.

Looking at history, I do not think there's any man who ended well after shedding blood. It doesn't matter the reason for which one sheds blood except for the purpose of self defense, there must be tragic mark in the life of such a fellow. The same applies to hunter's. In our local communities, it is believed that great hunters - hunters who have killed several animal usually do not end well. There's always something bad about them that is attributed to their hunting activity. Also in our local communities, it is no longer news that even those who, in the course of protecting society shed the blood of criminals often end in a very tragic manner.

While I do not condemn the idea of dealing with hoodlums or criminal elements in our society, it should be done in such a way that we do not soil our hands by shedding blood.

Where in the Bible did god say that one must not shed blood ?

If Bible actually say so, why did he...god himself shed blood and encouraged his supposed followers to shed blood too
