I don’t understand why a pastor will open Hilda’s instagram page without being invited and criticize her. There were a lot of sinners in Jesus time but He did not go to look for them and start judging and criticizing them like the Pharisees expected Him to do (Matthew 9:10-11), He even accepted invitations from sinners that invited Him to come and dine with them (Mark 2:15) but this extremely holy pastor could not even look at a sinner, he had to immediately condemn Hilda and call her names after poking his nose into her business, did Paul call sinful brethrens names? Paul’s words in 1 Corinthians 5 were words of wisdom and advice, they were not laws. Paul realized that those set of people were polluting the Church and causing division and confusion in the Church while he was away and they were reported to him on several occasions, he had to take that bold step to stop such an evil from destroying the Church, in 1 Corinthians 5, he mainly referred to an arrogant man who took his father’s wife and was still boasting about his sinful act, such an act was not just Biblical unaccepted, it was also generally unacceptable even among pagans, it was a taboo and an act of wickedness. The man could have dented the image of the Church with such act of wickedness and unbelievers would have thought Christianity is a religious that permits wickedness because instead of being remorse and repenting, he was boasting of his sin and backing it up with useless arguments.

In those days, Christianity had not spread so much because it just started and Christians were constantly being persecuted, it was necessary to keep people who could pollute the Church out in order to set the record straight. Christianity has now spread all over the world and even unbelievers know that we have morally standard laws guiding the Church, so if we can decide to keep our sinful brethrens in the Church and continue to preach to them as long as they are not disturbing the peaceful co-existence of the Church or polluting others by backing up their sins with wrong sayings and teachings, hopefully they will repent before Jesus Christ comes back to separate the goat from the sheep. If you go through your Bible properly you will realize that sinners were permitted in the Church.

The pastor is not even in the place to criticize Hilda because he is not her pastor. Before you even denounce sinful brethrens you are expected to first preach to them (James 5:19-20, Galatians 6:1, Thessalonians 3:14-15). He has not met Hilda in person and preached to her once, talk less of constantly, yet he condemned her and even called her names, did Apostle Paul call sinful brethrens names? In 1 Corinthians 9:18-23, Paul explained how he used different strategies to win souls, he even became like the weak to gain the weak. The pastor has not done the work of God by condemning Hilda, he only edified himself to receive praises from his congregation; he did not win a single soul. Jesus hate sin but loves sinners, preach with love if you want to preach, you did not take a nail for anyone, correct people don’t condemn them. Satan is our major enemy not our brethrens. We all were once sinners but we were saved by grace, Jesus died for all of us more than 2,000 years ago, that was a very long time before we existed and did any works, stop boasting and save souls (Ephesians 2:9).
