I just got another boerboel since I'm unsure about the first one but I took too early at 4 weeks and I'm not sure if that's ok. And please I need help selecting dry feed for him to look bigger. So should i go for diamond or booster dry feed? Please anyone advice me

Namdeenero:I'm actually regretting that right now because he's giving me tough time on the feeding aspects. He was always been fed royal canin but I'm giving it diamond but he's refusing it |

HUN73R:The breeder that sold that pup to you at 4 weeks must be very irresponsible. Imagine how massive your pup would be if you had asked him to reserve it for you till 7 or 8 weeks. That 4-8 weeks is very crucial in a puppies life because that’s when they begin to develop socially. |

4 weeks is too early to be taken away from its mum. It should be from 8 weeks. The pup looks good but you should have asked for the pics of the parents if you are eager to know how he'll look when grown. At this stage canned food is more preferable. Its easier to eat and the smell is irresistible. Then from 8 weeks introduce the dry food slowly by first mixing both dry and canned before transitioning to only dry. Thats what i do whenever i get a pup. But generally boerboels are healthy eaters, they eat everything. |

Soak booster dry feed in water with crushed chicken bum bum or chicken neck. |

I have tried it all. Mashed chicken and also canned food and also the soaked the dry feeds with egg and milk and also added little canned feed but still same. The dog is even getting lean now sef. And the vet just telling me he need to be injected. Reason I agreed to him because he told me the pup is already feeding on meals now and not sucking from the mother |
