French Language Learners.........get IN HERE! by Hadiat(f): 2:15pm On Jul 29, 2019
I studied linguistics in school but had nothing to show for it then I realized I needed to learn something, I need to develop myself. That's why I started learning french, accepted they are other languages to choose from but I choose french. It hasn't been easy at all the more i read the more I get confused, I am currently attending Institut Francais Abuja finished A1 just starting A2. My Monsieur said to learn french you have to speak it daily, practice everyday with someone but the question now is "who will i practice with?" once i leave the school i'm back to speaking English or Yoruba, because of this I downloaded different language app to meet native speakers to learn more, to communicate but it didn't help much then I realized why all this stress when we have speakers here and learners. That's why i created this forum so we can help one another, share articles, books and other learning materials and french has thousands of verbs and they are all important the fact that you have to conjugate first is more important. Au revoir!

Nice one, Op. I'm not currently undergoing any formal training but I have interets. I hope lots of people turn up so I can pick a thing or two.

I have always been fascinated by the language and be happy to learn more.

well am also still a learner-i actually can't pronely differenciate between which verb is regular and irregular yet, but i'll get back to you later when i access it.

mais c'est une madmosselle n'est pas un madmoselle(but it is... not...)

madmosselle c'est feminine

une for is feminine noun, while un is for masculines

ma is the feminine version of mon just as amie is the feminine version of ami.
in french you don't use mon for feminine words, you also don't use it for plural words.

e.g mon mari(my husband)_masculine
ma femme(my wife)_feminine
mes enfants(my children)_plural

congrat for your progress in spanish o, as for the speaking aspect it will be easier if have spanish app where you can listen to natives translate some things to spanish, with that you'll not only know what it means but how it ought to be pronounce... including the right word combination

shocked but let me laugh you small for moving backward in french grin
