This has been a relatively peaceful school by Nigerian standards, hardly in the news. I remember when there was a riot in Unilag, during my undergraduate days, the DSA's house was burnt, the VC's lodge was also attacked, cars were burnt... We sat at home for a few months too.

So in Nigeria, everything has to do with religion...

Most of us have missed the point.
1. Usman DAnfodio university is a federal university. I know ple from southern Nigeria schooling there.
2. D educational gulf between d south and north is responsible fo som of d probms confronting us in dis country.
3. If som youths are protesting abt poor conditions in dier school, we shld join hands fight d evil (corruption) killing our educational system.
4. Just as poverty is a threat to prosperity anywhere, illiteracy any where is a threat to literacy. The BH incident where recruits abound every where in d North is vivid.
5. The rot dat led to d riot is not restricted to the North alone.
Atleast for once youths in some part of d North are protesting for something worthy.
