Funaab Changing the Cutoff mark to 200, begs
the Current SUG to move to change it.
This is the first time I will be commenting on
issues in unaab since I left...
I think the decision to use 200 instead of 180
for post
utme is callous even when Jamb has stipulated
180 for all universities..
its an unnecessary shutting out of hopeful
candidates...we've seen situations where
students who
score less in Jamb performs better than those
who scored higher..in anycase Jamb score is
never a true reflection or measure of one's
academic abilities hence the need to defend it
through post utme..Now out 34000 plus
candidate only 6000 will be called for the exams
whereas in actual context 15000 plus score
above 180...
I honesty think without being critical of the
students leaders(SUG) that student union has
an overall responsibility
to of campaigning for education rights and for
all in Nigeria as a whole this kind of thing the
unaab authorities have done is in my opinion
anti Education regardless of whatever standard
or what we may think to the contrary...Perharps
the student Union can pls,
i'm on my knees help us lobby the "Powers that
be" to please still look at those who scored 180
as we have
family relations and some others who fall in that
category..ejo e ba wa be won ooooo..I take God

Our current SUG are the only ones that can help
in this issue, they can meet with the Higher ups
above the VC(Pro chancellor and more), to
change the cutoff mark even if it is just for this
year.
Funaab cut everyone unaware, this has never
happened before, right now we don't even know
the fate of Thousands of Pre Degree students.
Jamb is truly never a criteria to judge one's
Academic Ability.
