We want 2 bring my mother in law to LA from Lagos.  What is the best way to purchase the ticket, here or there?  We will need to send her the money if it is better to arrange travel plans there.  Also, can anyone suggest a good travel agency in Southern California that can give us a decent price?

Since you are here in the States, why don't you try kayak.com? you can noy buy the ticket through Kayak, but you will get price(s) and links to the webiste with the lowest fares.

Even if you have to send money to Naija, you have an average price. However, I think she should buy her ticket in Naija b/c the tickets are different - they price tickets based on one-month, 3-month, 6-month etc and I think you don't have to pay to change flights as long as the date is within the period of the ticket.
