ASUU should not go on strike....but the problem is that our univerisities are in serious financial trobule.....especially as the number of students wanting a degree is set to rise over the next few years....and that requires an expansion in facilities....which needs money.

In 2009....ASUU and FG signed an agreement,where N3 trillion was promised over the next four years for our univerisities (1.5 Trillion was to have been paid in by 2011). By 2013...when the cash was not in the bank....ASUU went on strike. After a long delay...they were offered 1 trillion over 5 years.(Obviously not enough).

Looks like either govt increases allocation to education...or we increase fees to make up the financial shortfall.

you took the words out of my mouth. The Poor grammar by most under graduates is embarrassing and they flaunt their badly constructed sentences all over the place thinking it is fashionable. Nobody is above mistake, YES. But when it becomes a habit, then it calls for concern.
