faithugo64: most of the students there dnt study despite the huge amount they pay, they sometimes cant stand students from a community secondary school, its not about d money, the question is,at the end, which do you graduate with;a certificate or a sabificate

Chrisland produced Shollypopz and she ended up in Fisk University. undecided

And older friend of mine that moved back to Nigeria and sends his kids to one of the top 2 there (I am not sure which), said as best as they (the British school) are in Nigeria, what they offer that he is paying for is what he would get for free if he was living in an average upper-middle class neighbourhood in the UK.

nigeria is a good place for business, because of the mentality of the people, all you need is good packaging and you will be piling millions.

pay 3million naira annually for secondary school ?? maybe because of one or two oyibo teachers, Air-conditioned class room, etc. PACKAGING!!!

Symphony007: exactly...schools like this have a curriculum dropped out of heaven. They teach their students over 5 foreign languages with special tutors and ear sets, and make sure each student must excel in one sports. Indeed schools like this groom great men who help each other. Example. Eton college, windsor, england. Produced over 6 british prime minister, foreign secretaries, diplomats, currently, david cameron, u.k prime minister, george osborne, chancellor of the exchequer, boris johnson, mayor of london are all old ethonians.
hausadreturn: dont forget - Ojukwu
hausadreturn: Ex Etonian

Just to straighten this out, Odimegwu Ojukwu is not an ex Etonian. He attended Kings College Lagos, slapped a white teacher for humiliating a black lady, jailed briefly, expelled-I think, then sent off to Epsom College, Surrey, UK.
The only Nigerians I'm sure attended Eton are: Tokunbo Akintola- Ladoke Akintola's Son,Tedum Saro Wiwa-Ken Saro Wiwa's son and Tomiwa Edun-Sir Elyan in 'Merlin'

Eton College is located at Berkshire, Near Windsor. It is a boys boarding school that has churned out a good percentage of british royals and aristocrats. David Cameron is the 19th Etonian Prime Minister. Eton College to me is like an Ivy-League High school and it's surely a class symbol cos the british aristocracy is a closed group.

Sink this into your skull, AT 20M/ANNUM INCOME, YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO SEND YOUR WARDS TO SUCH SCHOOLS.

You're missing the point, this isn't just about the academics, it's about the whole package.

In terms of quality, you can't compare those schools to the average Nigerian school, the environment, the teachers, the facilities, the intellectual level, the pattern of learning.... are miles ahead of Nigerian standards.

Those schools are for the creme de la creme, no wannabe thugs, no poor people & most likely no bullies. Every kid is such school comes from an upper class, there kids develop network of important friends which comes handy in life. That's why you'd notice people of an upper class belong to a certain clique, these are where those cliques are formed.

People who send their kids there are not fools, if you got the money, send your kids there.

My brother, your head is on point

Hungry man!! You're not Dangote, (most people cannot and will not be Dangote) Dangote's Uncle was once the richest man in west Africa, who is the richest person in your family history?

Stop consoling yourself for your substandard education & face reality, work hard so you can afford your kids the luxury your parents couldn't afford you.

Quality education for 2m At secondary school level?? Are you okay at all? Its more of show off, IMO

There very high quality schools that will offer such quality education at about a third of that amount

Zukoslim: hmmmmm fees here only for one term can help a nigga through out his stay in d uni, with enough change to do big boi.... lolz...

peepz who send their wardz to this schools have their reasons...
take for instance_

a poor man who cn afford one or two square meal a day will send his child to public school,
an average man who can 3 gud square meal will send hia kid to a private school were there pay 3k to 5k per term
anoda middle class man, living well will send his kids to private school were they pay 8 to 15k per term...

now remember there are other private school were students pay 20k to 30k while some 30k and above... u cant say all d private schools are the same..heck no..quality is nt quantity... if u earn 500k to 1milla, will u send ur kids to a school were d fees is 20k..naaaah..u will snd dem to mayb a school were they pay 70 to 100k cus u believe the lesser one is inferior....

so forget the amount peepz pay for their wards in some schools cus haterz gonna hate

make i add ma own..,,,,high achiever academy... they pay 2******* #make i no talk#

Which private school collects 20-30k per term? Any private school tgat collects less than 120k per term na bullszhit scul wannabe.

And your second paragraph is exactly my problem with these schools.

Someone once complained that Nigerian Fashion designers are too expensive;

Beyonce bought a shoe of about $630 (roughly N107, 000) and people went gaga hailing her and you will see a politican's wife or even less flaunting much more expensive shoes

We like to spend in Nigeria... I guess it turns us on

There are some costlier secondary schools in other parts of the country like Abuja and Kaduna/Kano/Yola--apparently. There was a similar thread like this here.

It is good to know that such Schools exist in Nigeria. Those who can afford them are free to do exploit. After all there are many stupendously rich guys who are looking for avenues to spend their money. This is just one of them. Everybody with their level. No grudges, no bad feelings. Life is just like that.

wikiman: ....the best and most "expensive "secondary school to take children to is SCHOOL OF THE HOME....but usually too "expensive" and demanding for many Nigeria parents... who will rather sit down with laliga or EPL than to educate their kids in simple maths and physics...and some funny mothers busy with selfies and BBA while the kids brain rot...smh

And d sh*t falls on us d teachers, who are sometimes frustrated with d attitude of d children n parents.

Kzinne: good u realised u attended a street school cos its very clear. most of the peeps here are either not schooled at all or attended jakande schools. they also bribed their way into university and think they're educated.

kzinne: Just imagine you were given a billion naira as a
gift, would you stop working and resign your
present job? What would you do?

see u! u that attended the best of schools should be all knowing, dont u think so?rather than asking what someone could do with 1 billion naira ,u should be even telling people what to do with it, have u heard a spare part seller asking people what to do with even 500,000 naira?
u forgot that the ability to achieve success is deep rooted in u and not all those glorified feeding schools that impact nothing into a child's brain.
for ur info, innoson didnt attend the best of schools but u and me know where he is right now.
