And below is how to stop self service in a Godly and Islamic way.


1. The primary cure of riding ones' self of any evil is 'Himmah', i.e ones' determination, without one's firm determination, there is no cure. Whenever ones' nafs try to involve a person i this particular sin, then try to fight it off as if a person were to fight off an enemy that is after their lives. Similarly, ones' should be as determine to safe ones' iman as they would be to safe ones' own life. They should be so determine that they may be willing to give up their life, but not commit sin. The day a person has this type of determination, then the evil habit will leave.

2. One should ponder over this, that the Prophet (s.a.w) is reported to have said the paraphrased meaning of which is, one who masturbates is accursed.

3. Ponder over the shame that one would feel on the day of judgement, whe this person will be raised and their hand will be pregnant in front of Allah and his messenger (s.a.w)

4. Realize that this debasing act only amounts to a short-lived pleasure.

5. Remember Allah is with you all the time.

6. This evil habit is due to the curse of lustful glances. Therefore one should not view any pornographic material and not even go close to pictures in the newspapers, on the internet, cable, television, VCR, DVD, etc....to such an extent that one should even start avoiding emails, otherwise, random thoughts will come into ones mind and will cause heat to develop in ones' body leading the person to ultimately masturbates.

7. Meditate over the fact that Allah is watching ur all the time

8. One should not be by themself rather they should be amongst pious friends.

9. If per chance a person happens to fall prey to this detestable act, then each time a minimum of twenty supererogatory prayers should be prayed or such a large amount of charity should be given such that it becomes burdensome one ones' nafs.

10. Early marriage is considered here but if, for some reasons, it is not possible to marry at an early age, voluntary fast is welcome here. By fasting, lustful thoughts are curbed and this ones' sexual urge is reduced. Further, fasting promotes fear of Allah ta'aala and creates humility. There are various kind of voluntary fasts.
One is the Sawm-e-Dawood (the fast of dawood- Alayhis salam) which means fasting every alternate day. Fasts can also be observed on Mondays and Thursdays, six days during the month of shawaal, the ninth and tenth of Muharram, os any other day (besides the five prohibited days).

11. It is important to select good and pious friends and companions. Such friends may guard us from erring and although they are rare, search for such company and let yourself spend time with them. Remember that people imitates their friends. Therefore to strengthen your imaan, character and physique, keep away from evil companies and adopt the company of virtuous people.

12. Never touch the intimates part of your body unnecessarily.

13. If you are associated with other persons having this same problem, you must break off their friendship. Never associate with other people having the same weakness. Don't suppose that both of you will quit together, u never will. You must get away from people of that kind. Just to be in their pesence will keep your problem foremost in your mind.

Doctors of medicine gives the following suggestions on how to restrain lustful desires and sexual urges.

* Have cold bath in summer.
* Pour cold water on the manhood in other seasons.
* Engage in physical exercise and sports.
* Abstain from spices and all kinds of food that excite sex.
* Cut down on tea, coffee, and invigoratory beverages.
* Reduce intakes of meat and eggs to a minimum.
* Do not lie down flat on the back or on the stomach. Rather lie on the right side in compliance with the sunnah.

ADVICES:
* Make Duaa daily: seek help from Allah, this will strengthen u against temptation.
* make so much istigfar.
* set goal of abstinence. Beging with a day, then a week, a month, a year and finally commit to never doing it again. Till you don't commit yourself to never yourself in this act you'll be open to temptation.
* start frequenting the Masjid. Make it a daily practice to recite part of the Qur'an. Fing out about authentic book you can read from your local Aalim.
* Make a pocket calendar for a month on a small card. Carry it with you. Color the day on which you masturbate black. The calendar becomes a strong visual reminder of self control and should be looked at when you are tempted to add another black day. Keep your calendar up until you have atleast three clear months.

Lastly, if incidentally you engaged in this act, don't swear by Allah that you will never do it again because you may be tempted again, and if it happens so, then you have break a pledge you made to Allah, so instead pray to Allah to exorcise this act fron your mind.

evry steps we take in this life has advantages and disadvantages, buh when doin wat God has prohibited, they tends to b more disadvantes dan advantages. The medical practitioners said that self service is gud once in a while buh doing it excessively is harmful to d health. That's the medical point of view. But it z prohibited in Islam, whether it's gud or not.

Same as alcohol, medically, little intake of alcohol regulate the body buh excess alcohol destroy d organs of the body, buh islamically, alcohol z nt gud 4 our body, same as self service.
