hi, I use Acer aspire 5570Z.just recently i realized the sound is not functioning. I cannot hear any sound even when i play a song at the media player, neither do the windows log on sound work.I've checked the device manager to see if there is any conflict on the sound drivers, but there isn't anything like that, My operating system is XP pro. I need help urgently.

Check if the sound driver is installed. If it is

1. Right click the volume icon on your taskbar and select 'adjust volume properties' to see if the 'Device volume' is set to low

2. Click the advanced button also to check other audio properties, maybe one of the speakers is set to low.

I did all that, but its still not working,

Have you done the following:

2. On the 'Sounds' tab Select 'Windows Default' as your sound scheme

3. click apply

Is the system formated recently? If yes, u will have to install sound drives

Yes, the system was recently formatted, and i reinstalled all the required driver especially the sound driver, yet it still won't come,
