Chessinslums participated with her Kids in the Lagos Games Festival...It has beed a great day for these kids that only know struggles and hardknocks experience based on their backgrounds and day to day activities where they live.....However after so much that has been put into training and grooming by the able and dedicated members of Chessinslums we can categorically say that these kids now comprehend that there are better strategies of approaching challenges in life dealings. This exemplary character is what geared them to rank amongst the best in the competition..We are proud to state the obvious " NO MORE SLUM IN THEIR GENES".
Chessinslums is an initiative aimed @ helping kids in the slum live better lives and also get educated via the great game of strategy of Chess.
We will appreciate every question, critic or contribution that this post will generate.

Today in CIS( Chessinslums) we celebrate with one of our own DAP_Shotit.......Chessinslums ace Photographer.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY YO!...on behalf of CIS fam...
However It has been a journey of great works from all the CIS volunteers, making sure this dream of improving the livelihood of these kids in remote areas come to fusion.

Chessinslums is aimed at targeting kids that are less privileged in order to create an avenue for them (Kids) to overcome their individual challenges via Chess a game of strategy.

We are poised to making sure its impact is felt all over Nigeria starting from our domain here in Lagos (Majidun).....Over the month there has been feasible progress and we aspire to achieve more. Today we celebrate with our colleague in good faith.....once again Happy Birthday DaP_ Shotit.

Learning to play chess is turning these kids' lives around

Professional chess player and coach Babatunde Onakoya says learning to play chess saved him. Now he's using the game to educate
