Seen that Nairaland is still strong as ever after these years AND the real question is, " are the discussions here impacting our lives and our society OR is this just a forum to let off steam and mingle?"

Its definitely a force to reckon with regarding getting info on Nigerian issues but on the negative flip side i can guess its just made more people more tribalistic

How do you know they are few, since you've not been home? I can assure you that they are not few!
You should not spring up facts about Nigerian internet usage based on what you see on NL.

if you mean making nigerians that log in more tribalistic then yes it us truely impacting on their lives and how they see their fellow nigerians.

Yes- Many aspiring international students are better informed on visa requirements and scholarship option

Yes- Many people are better informed on land/property acquisition and real estate investments

Yes- Many people make business transactions via NL or get leads- auto, technology

Yes- Many people have access to professional Doctors advise or at least a second opinion

PS Nairaland is not a political platform
