I think it's in DNA of every lagosian the word Ruggedity, as a first time comer planing to live for a while, irrespective of how classic you're you need may likely to experience the 15 points below

1. If you're looking for somebody living in Lagos for almost 5yrs, just go to Oshodi within 7days you may be lucky to see him/her

2. If you step on someone in crowdy place don't say sorry because before you know the person you stepped on has moved on.

3. After Yoruba here in Lagos, pidgin is another official language, even the Chinese are fluent in it.

4. Anytime you want to go out, always have the times two of your transportation Budget, because the bus you entered in the morning with ₦300 might be ₦600 6hrs later.

5. If you miss your way in Lagos, just locate Oshodi, even if you're going to Manchester.

6. Don't carry yourself like Ajebo in Lagos, even if you're a billionaire pikin always put on a rugged face.

7. The people wey normal in Lagos aren't much. Many are crazy but just few needs medical attention.

8. On the pedestrian bridge don't argue with anyone ooo including those people that usually preach on the pedestrian bridge.

9. Don't work at night in some areas if you've not map the nooks and crannies of such areas

10. If the touts in Lagos ask you for something, if you don't have just show some respect and smile with them don't insult them o because they're not traceable if they damage your fine boy "boss we dey together now tomorrow ogami"

11. "Nothing spoil in Lagos", what's useless to you might be diamond I'm looking for, therefore before you throw away your things consult ooo because you might see buyers for it.

12. Be careful when you get to a place call Adewole, Computer Village, those are the homes of forgery in South West if not Nigeria even second hand human being dey there. I don't know how strong your password or signature is , at Adewole they'll unlucky anything for you and forge anything for you including American passport

13. If you want to beat traffic the normal time to wake up is 04:30am cheesy ;

14. On every blessed morning on the public bus , people usually wear serious face but on coming back in the evening you'll think they don't have problems the way everyone Will be joking, chatting, gist, and cracking jokes.

15. Don't always play Mr. Nice guy here because before you know If care is not taking you may even borrow t.fare back to village.

16. Either you call Lagos overrated or not it's the city that accommodate all the ethnic and tribes in Nigeria.
