stop listening to Radio Biafra, what simon is dishing out to you f00ls are lies,if not for Awo’s free education, your region would have been plagued with Almajiri system.
The few learned your have in you region then all schooled in OAU or UI

dude it is not radio biafra i don't even listen to it, go and read the history of education in Nigeria by Prof Babatunde Fafunwa and you will see the truth behind free Education. Awolowo was worried about the high number of igbos that were educated and were in the civil service and as such he introduced free education to bridge the gap with the eastern region. read widely and stop being stupid and senseless.

As someone who grew up in Oluyole Estate and know that road like the back of my hand, I think this is some seriously misplaced priorities by the governor. They've 'done' this road before so why not focus on other areas. Oluyole Industrial Estate is right there and somehow every governor has chosen to ignore it. The Estate contains (or at least used to contain) some of the bigger consumer good manufacturing companies (7up, P&G, Sumal, Yale etc) and the road connecting to those are the worst they have ever been. We talk about Ibadan not being able to generate money but imagine how many more companies would have been interested in moving to that estate if the road was done and how much tax they can generate from that.

They could have even tried expanding the road from Mile 110 leading all the way to Dugbe and especially where it turns to Aleshinloye as that spot is always problematic. I really thought having an engineer for a governor will bring some much needed educated lens as to how to address the road issues in Ibadan but i guess not. SMH.

I like your submission and Ill reply you.

1. Since Bola Ige dualised the road in the 70's no major work has been done on ring road. Year in year out, OYSROMA only does patch patch work on ring road with lots and lots of potholes from challenge straight down to 110 with big ditches at Anfaani, iyana Adeoyo and the likes with Iyaganku almost replete with potholes and a failing culvert just after Kobiowu.

Even though ring road isn't as bad as Oluyole,A sensible person will first do the major road that leads into the city before doing the inner road. Now ringroad and Iyaganku adjourning roads are currently being totally reconstructed, when done,no repairs works will be done on them again in years because the current one being done there is solid and money for the patch patch that has been done in previous years will be used elsewhere

2. There are already plans in place to start fixing Oluyole/7UP road next year budget. Yes the road is bad. It is because Oyo has a huge infrastructural deficit and all roads cannot be done at the same time. You have to do in scale of preference and how government funds are available.

The truth of the matter is since 1999,No administration has done more roads than this administration has. NONE. Yet there is still so much more to be done

3.In reference to the 110 to Dugbe. The 110 road leading to Dugbe that ends at Apata is a Federal government road. There are plans already for the dualising of that road next year pending when the FG will give Oyo the go ahead to do the road. The same way he got a go ahead to fix the Oyo Iseyin road which is a federal road that has been left undone for over 40years. That is why the 110 to Dugbe will always remain problematic until the road is fixed once and for all
