Stopped reading at "lab rat". And no, the word of God does not change so I don't need upgrades in that regards. But do what you do, sir. I understand it is paramount to keep the fear levels high in the business of "spiritism". I reiterate, the message is for true believers in Jesus Christ, not fear mongers. Christ has created in you the spirit to win and overcome and not of fear and uncertainty...cowering up and down. Your faith really should set you apart, make you special, empower you, be the light that draws others to Christ, make you a winner!

Which fear level? If this is how courageous you are, why don't you allow your sister/brother/ daughter/Son marry someone with this sort of background? Why don't you wake up in the dead of the night and go and sleep in A very thick forest? Why don't you go to meet a group of Occultic people meeting at night if you really have power? Why don't you go visiting all the shrines/altars and show your power there? Why don't you go to different Occultic lodges and buildings and show your power there? Why did God order the Israelites to avoid marrying from tribes of Idol worshippers and Pagans? Why didn't God order the Israelites to try to convert all the Pagan Nations so that they can marry? The same Bible says flee from Satan. Flee from Evil and it will flee from you.

No o. Go and do all the above things I mentioned above. Let me see the liver. You're here making mouth.

Okay here is the story.

One of my best friends who is expected to get married this year just called me for hours with regards to his plans.

He met this babe 2 years ago and things were going fine. I even know the girl as a nice lady and very homely. I don chop her food, she cooks well. Both of them attend RCCG church. My friend is a casual member while his fiance is a serious member and doesn't miss weekly services.

So my friend to take his relationship more seriously decided to visit his fiancé's family so they know him. Before then, the fiancé had told him that her father is a former Baptist but has stopped being religious and sometimes does traditional practices. On the day of him visiting her home, he was welcomed even bought gifts for the dad and mum. But he said his spirit was very uncomfortable in that house.

There was an standing portrait of the father on white with beads and regalia to show he is Ogboni. Also in the house, there were a few funny looking art works which looks occult. My friend played cool, the father even asked of his church and he told him. The father proudly said he is a traditional man. After the meeting, the next day he asked his girlfriend if her father is an ROF member and she said yes that she told him before that he is a traditional man.

But my friend is showing signs of doubts. He told me he loves the girl, but that he wants nothing to do with anything occultic in this life till he dies. His family may not agree but even if he insist to have his way because of love, he wants to be sure it will not end in regret.

I told him what really matters is the heart of the person he is marrying. My guy said yes but family background matters. Foundation matters, which is true.

House, what do you think?

My uncle who’s a pastor married a lady whose father is a native doctor. Since he married, things have gone from bad to worse. From the city, he relocated to the village. From 2 square meal to not having money to buy bag of pure water. Enough said…

This is Africa indeed. Had to stop reading after your first statement. Where did you read it in the Bible that a believer's fate is to be inheriting spiritual problems? And what is the meaning of 'authority in Jesus Christ'? You people need to stop misinformation. He has created in you the spirit of victory, not of fear. OP please advise your friend HIMSELF to put it in prayer and make a decision from there

You read the last paragraph though so you didn't stop at the first.

Which statement in the first paragraph is wrong, the foundation matters part or which one?

It's the inheriting part that's the issue right? Loool.

If you had taken your time to read all you would have seen the praying part to take the same authority in Jesus name which obviously most are not ready to pay the price of praying through.

But first one has to have the understanding of patterns, foundations and how the spiritual controls the physical, how your bloodline can affect you which obviously lots of chirstains don't even understand.

I only responded to you because you mentioned prayer.

Seconded, e get why. Please run for your life

One should not have anything to do with those people. Let the OP friend go ahead and marry the lady first and come back to tell us how far.

Issues will definitely come up. He needs to think about this seriously. If you are marrying a person you marry the family join. I for one will think one thousand times before making any decisions. If he is not afraid for himself, he should think about his children.

Thanks all for your comments. From what was shared here I was able to give a better advice to my friend who I talked to over the night.
I told him that if he wants to run a serious Christian marriage, the background of the girl will affect it so it is better to quit now except the girl is ready to be a prayer warrior and have less to do with her family. But if he wants to run a normal marriage, he can go ahead.

My guy told me he wants a Christian marriage o. He told me he just spoke to his uncle pastor about it and the Uncle told him to quit. One, for him to complain that means he is no longer 100% sure about the marriage and that can raise issues in the future. Two, he said most occult men do spiritual things that eventually affect their children and marrying her will be fighting unseen battles he had no idea of. It is better he finds a way to breakoff slowly or let the lady know that his parents are not comfortable with the marriage because of her family background. He himself knows that his family will not accept that but he is willing to turn rebel and do what he wants to do. But now he's having a rethought.

At a point I could hear sounds of crying in his voice over the phone. Guy is still saying that this is the best lady he ever dated. Chei
after much Bleep, and the girl told him before now, him want quit, will him return the Bleep, abi dey nor Bleep

If you gat the story, the girl didn't tell him her father is occultic (ROF) but that he is traditional. So, she was being crafty if not deceitful with the hope of manipulating the guy to submission by saying "I told you before".

Being traditional doesn't mean you are an herbalist or an occult. Most traditionalist simply believe there is God but don't believe in accessing Him through any of the well known imported religions but through ancestral worshipping where they mostly use local drinks, colanut etc to do their thing.

ROF means Reformed Ogboni Fraternity

immortalcrown:
What is ROF?

Meanwhile, wearing white and beads does not mean Ogboni membership. Stop the profiling. Stop making conclusions without confirmations.

The day i glanced through the ROF handbook at my Landlord's living room In Lagos, that was what changed my scope about religion. So many well known daddies& Mummy GOs, alfas, Politicians and Industrialists are members. The woman changed it for me when she saw me opening the pages from one to another that day though, because i was a stubborn Muslim then.I just dey shake my head when i hear some of them preaching since then. Who knows if your friend's spiritual fathers/mothers are bonafide members. I never discussed what i saw/read with anyone for the past 15 years now. This life is really deep

There is BIG DIFFERENCE between Ogboni member and a traditionalist.
A traditionalist worship the Supreme creator in the way our ancestors worshipped Him.
But Reformed Ogboni Fraternity more or less rooted in secrecy , a typical feature of a cult/fraternity.
Why do people even join ROF? Is it to worship the Supreme Creator? No!
Most people join ROF to seek metaphysical powers to achieve their goals in life : protection , fame, business breakthrough. And there must always be Terms and Conditions to get such metaphysical powers.
Before ROF came on board, it was Ogboni Fraternity , with origin from the SouthWest Nigeria. But the burning harmattan ROF wind swept across the entire Nigeria in the 60s to 80s.
One of the key founders of ROF is an Anglican priest. But our Lord Jesus Christ said many people will say on the last day that they did miracles in His name, but He will say He doesn't know them.
OP should follow his uncle advice and subtly quit the relationship. As far his peace of mind has been already disturbed, he should make a U-turn.There are many ladies with beautiful soul out there.Searching continua!

Your friend is scared about the girl's family, what makes him feel his is any better? Lemme guess, because his parents cover it up right? He should actually see how the girl handles it. If she takes it as a normal thing, he should run but if she sees it as abnormal and something she must fight against, he should stand with her and pray as they both start their life afresh . But most men don't pray, they feel it's the woman that should do all the prayers in marriage. Even when seeking for life partners na woman dey pray pass. A man thinks he can just pick any woman to marry. Marriage is deep and life is spiritual. If he is spiritually capable, he should prayerfully go ahead. Most importantly, let him seek the face of God concerning it.
Very correct. You cannot by guessing run from devils or by fear. A sincere child of God fear no evils. If you're a serious worshipper of true God let her papa be Lucifer brother, they will bow before God.if you continue to run from pillar to pole, you will eventually enter intowhst you least expected. Let God choose for u.No juju will threatening you.JESUS IS STILL THE LORD OF ALL.

For your info, the spiritual wickedness ruling Africa is part of the reason Africa is plagued with extreme poverty. The powers that be use Spiritual laws to hold Africa down and as long as politicians are part of these powers, Africa will remain where it is. I don't expect you to understand a single thing of what I'm saying. So, upgrade your knowledge in how the world really works in the Spirit realm in conjunction with African leaders. Don't joke with the Spirit realm for it controls the physical.

I read that Africa is plagued with poverty because of the climate and due to huge numbers of healthy young people being captured as slaves…

Yeah. It struck me when you said that just 3 or 4 generations back, all of our families must have been traditional worshippers. I think we collectively as a society are avoiding facts like this.

Thank you, she didn’t go into detail cos she knew he’d be scared…how will your dad be a whole ogboni and you won’t mention it. Lying by omission.

I understand her reasons but it’s quite wrong. And the guy is even feeling guilty not realising that he was purposely manipulated.

What if after marrying the girl you find out that her father has sacrificed all the children in her womb to his god(s)?

House, what do you think?

The kind of comments I see here, I begin to wonder. Firstly does your friend know his history? His grandparents does he know the kind of evil deities they worshipped, and the kind of sacrifices they offered to these deities in the olden days? How has all that affected him as a grandson. So many of our grandparents worshipped different idols but today many of us are Christians. You love a woman and you reject her because her father belongs to a cult and is open about it. I guess if he had removed every insignia of occultism in his house and had pretended to be a normal pagan or Christian your friend will have gone ahead to marry his daughter. Do you know some of the so called men of God you revere are members of some of these cults as well but they hide their identity. Someone has decided to make his own open and you are judging him because of it. Some of us our forefathers worshipped and offered sacrifices to very powerful deities in the old days. But today we are Christians and whatever they did or worshipped is not in any way affecting us today. Let us all stop this holier than thou attitude please.

He doesn't love that girl full stop. Just looking for an opportunity to end the relationship
