HI, I HAVE B.SC. IN COOPERATIVE AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT WITH SECOND CLASS UPPER DIVISION FROM OLABISI ONABANJO UNIVERSITY, AGO-IWOYE. I INTEND TO STUDY ECONOMICS AT MASTER LEVEL. WHAT ARE MY CHANCES?

Dear Sir/Ma, Online Application for Admission into Postgraduate Programmes of Obafemi Awolowo University for the 2012/2013 Academic Session is in progress at http:// apply.oaunetque.com/ between the 1st of July 2012 and the 30th of September 2012. Prospective postgraduate students can apply to the university without having to be physically present within the university. There is NO PAPER FORM. Applicants are to complete their application forms ONLINE. An Application Processing Fee of N8,500 for Regular programmes and N10,000 for Executive programmes (MBA, MPH etc) is required. This can be paid using ATM/Debit card from any Nigerian bank or the Application Scratch Card on the application website. The Application Scratch Card is ONLY available within Guaranty Trust Bank branches in Ile-Ife (and at the Postgraduate College). @ALL, the form has officially closed and the postgraduate college is commencing collating soon. fee ranges from 80-90k for the entire course except law, medicine and likes. but part time is over 250k.

My bro, don't really know but frnds who did for mba said it was English mostly comprehension, few current affairs and history, aptitude questions GMAT things, and any job like questions for mba. But for accounting and economics pls read well ooo. Expect a very tough GMAT stuff., Education applicants, i can't say but prepare general test questions and some edu stuffing goodluck peeps.

@bibu was told MSc Environmental Control and Managemnt is 2 years by someone currently doing the course. But u cud finish the course in 15months depending on how fast you are with research project and all, so I was told. Though I read on their website that its for 3 semesters( 1yr+).Don't really know which to believe.did u apply for the course?

Nope......I haven't applied but hoping.I. Want to ask if the school's calendar doesn't affect the postgrad calendar?

Well I wouldn't know though.. Cos I thought about that to.Intend to apply also.Callertune should know, since he's not yet through with his masters.

Yes I have heard about the course. I have a friend that just got an admmission to the course. Though I wouldn't know what the course module look like.so I can't say they are similar.

The undergraduate calender plays a role in the sch system hence it is all related to sch administrative chain. It is the basics of the university. As for Msc Environmental Control and Mgt, they don't really delay. We hav good lecturers and supervisors. Its a year course work while the other remaining period is for thesis. However, you can commence your research in your second semester and can even finish everything in less than 15months. @all those who hav received their admission letters, Congratulations...

@obasyi09, it wouldn't be easy with OAU economics. They strongly prefer their graduates, pure economics graduates and good results. i can't really tell if they'll. But my best advice is go to d dept in the university and see for yourself what they do.

In one of the threads you opened, you talked about Chemical Engineering Department been slow. Why did you say so and how long does it take a student to complete his Msc in the Department, i mean the average time it will take to complete the program. How are their lectures and lecturers like? @callertune,plz can I apply while being a corper and before the registration I will be through.

@bibu, if you're a batch B or C corper, you can apply i.e passing out before Nov, you can.@upengineer, i don't know what the cause could be but some lecturers can take a course for morethan one semester. Thank God for d new policy where the maximum period for masters is 3yrs.

Pls I heard one can use HND with IT certifications to apply for the proffessional masters in ICT.
