Lol.. it's really funny reading comments of people regarding Computer village which isint as bad as portrayed if you're not greedy and you're very careful as well. My first encounter there was years back when I went there to do my internship and even before than, there are some tips that I always have at the back of my mind so it's always hard to play a fast one on me and I'll be sharing some of them.

Firstly a place like Computer village is not as dreaded as Alaba whereby even if you go into a shop to transact you will still be scammed but for Computer village, shops has a name to protect, most have an online presence on Jiji and the authorities there (CAPDAN) are not enablers of wrongdoings. Although they're aware of the presence of these street urchins but there's very little they can do about that. Touts roaming various markets is beyond most of these markets leaders so it best not to even discuss about that.

Secondly, when going to a crowded market as big as computer village, it is safe to stick with why you're there and never entertain anyone on the road or street trying to talk to you. I'm always dumb when walking on the street of Lagos that you will keep talking and I'll never give you an audience no matter how much you try to sweet talk me. Someone who has a budget of let say 50k for a particular phone then while walking someone accosted you with a very neat and clean phone obviously way bigger than your budget in terms of price and also in model but because of greediness you chose to give a listening ear which will definitely cost you a loss. They are just so many things people do and it makes them fall prey to these boys. Computer village is where I go very often not just to buy gadgets in small quantities but in large quantities and I have been very careful not to be greedy in order not to fall for all these guys antics. I understand everyone wants a cheap deal for whatever they're buying but you can as well do that by going to reputable stores like slot, MicroStation to compare prices instead of falling prey to a price been offered by a street urchins.

Lastly when going to Ikeja, I go in a very simple way. I hold just one atm I can trust and try not to hold unnecessary cash. They're just so many things to be wary of when going there.
