In Abuja, I know one of their office is in Garki, and another at Gudu District.

They're not just into highway construction alone.

Al-Hassan Dantata was the patriarch of the family and he originally made the money. He died in 1955.

Ahmadu Dantata and Aminu Dantata were 2 of Al-Hassan's children who took over the business. Ahmadu died, so Aminu became the chairman of the company. Aminu Dantata was probably the richest man in Nigeria in the 1970s.

Aminu Dantata also had a brother who was very wealthy and who was a prominent businessman. That brother was Sanusi Dantata.

Sanusi Dantata had many children and there are 2 prominent children that are well known. They are Abdulkadir Sanusi Dantata and Mariyah Sanusi Dangote.

Mariyah Sanusi Dangote is Aliko Dangote's mother. Aliko Dangote worked for his uncle, the late Abdulkadir Sanusi Dangote for a while and it was this uncle that gave him money to start his business.


Aminu Dantata is Aliko Dangote's granduncle (his grandfather's brother).
