*Goodbye to Panadol,* Panadol Extra, Panadol Cold & Catarrh, Andrews Liver Salt, Voltaren, Ampiclox, Sensodyne, Macleans, Ventolin, Otrivin, etc, etc, after 51 years. The company's singular reason for leaving Nigeria is because of the high cost of energy (Fuel & Electricity). WHAT APC CAN NOT KILL DOES NOT EXIST... ... ... ... ... ... *Goodbye GSK!* 26 Likes 2 Shares |

They are running to Ghana to setup factory there because of constant electricity they have there in Ghana (courtesy of Nigeria), whereas we in Nigeria don't have constant electricity. @OP Don't fret, those products will still be in our markets just that they will no longer be manufactired here in Nigeria but in other African countries. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

successmatters: Apt. It requires asymmetrical thought-level to know that many Nigerians are either too used to bad governance or they sincerely don't feel they deserve the opposite. Ask them how many multinationals have set up shop in Nigeria since 2015, compared to the number that has left. 10 Likes |

Essenza01: I didn't state anywhere that I'm cool with it.. or did I? It's Nigerians like you and I that mismanaged funds meant to fix power in our dear country.. They are there walking free today with wealth from stolen money criticizing and condemning government as if they were better. Who will save Nigeria from institutionalized corruption? |

The states they operated in will loose income tax, the areas the staff lived will loose revenue from patronage of the staff to super markets. School fees, Home rentals , electrical bills , fuel stations ,local markets etc , the economic loss wil extend to towns. Local government, cities, states . For gsk, Unilever, Dunlop , Michelin, Woolworth, usbc bank etc , the multiplier effect can only but be imagined 4 Likes |

POxBAT: Most times, their "leaving" means "relocating" to where power is readily available and somewhat affordable for them.. It is what it is and I don't blame them but our people and the bad leaders in Nigeria. |

SalamRushdie: Why is this? Is it because the cost of production suddenly went up since the company announced that they were leaving or some Nigerians just take pleasure in exploiting and inflicting pain on their fellow citizens? We have seen this with the subsidy removal, we have even seen it every holidays when transportation cost is hiked just because a lot of people are eager to get back to their bases. What Nigerians are doing to each other is far more wicked than what any government can do. 1 Like |
