Nothing really stopped me from buying from her just that I don't want to become permendent user of her shop so I have to go other places ...

Yea, some people avoid it because of over-familiarity. I totally understand such people too. I can't imagine filling my 12.5kg on the street sha.

It is good to patronise people within our neighbourhood once in a while even though you could get some of the items being sold cheaper at an open market. I do it a lot and it helps to engender good neighbourliness. There are things I don't buy in big supermarkets or in an open market.....I will rather pick them from the local street shops near my house. Some of our actions should be deliberate and a way of supporting small sellers. On Saturday, I had to patronise a lady near my house that stopped me to let me know that she sells recharge cards now. I can't remember the last time I bought physical recharge card but I did it out of support to her business.

Yes, it is. As stated in the OP, I buy from them, but I don't buy gas from this lady and that is within my human right.

She doesn't. Only gas, lighter and things around gas.

I found myself in this situation once..Truth be told the depot is quite far from my place but since I’d rather buy from there,I don’t mind..There are times my gas finishes at odd hours when I can’t go to the depot(gasland) so I use this guy on my street and in fairness to him,it lasts but I don’t fill much from him, least I’d do is 2kg and before that finishes,I’d refill from the depot..you owe her nothing actually but she probably likes your “steeeez” hence she approached you,she can’t be approaching everyone’s like that and she could she’s just a business woman..you could adopt this style if you wish, just think of it as supporting the small business community..EXCEPT that yahoo guy that owned it previously broke your heart then Boycott this newbie..

I have two 12.5kg cylinders. Helps me not to be in a situation where I have to be caught unawares.

She actually said she was told by her neighbour that the gas I bought from her brother finished very fast. Which is true - 12.5kg finished in 3 weeks and I was shocked. I told him and he apologised. The 12.5kg from the depot lasted 4mths.

If she sells something else that I need, I will buy. Not gas sha.
