femisplash: In Nigeria we are divided by tribalism no matter how we pretend, exact reason Tinubu is making appointments from one tribe and I am sure you don't see anything wrong with that. In a democracy, the president and the government is not above criticism. You can't tell people how to criticize or exercise their fundamental rights to speech. We need more education in Nigeria to enlighten people about how democracy works. |

Tianamen1:Sam Amadi was one of the top worst Administrators ever. His expertise sounds best only on paper but an absolutely crap in the real sense. What was his achievements?, what were his reforms?. He left the power sector worse than he met it. |

PressMyButton: In as much as I don't support the activities of the BDC operators. I must say that the BDC operators were actually licensed by the apex bank. There activities were not really monitored by the CBN and the financial intelligent unit of the efcc . The banks CEO s and top politicians took advantage and hijack the BDC for their self gains. I can tell you for free that most of the BDC points you are seeing in Lagos, kano,PH, kaduna and Abuja are owned by top bank officials, corrupt CBN officials, governors and politicians. Those malams you are seeing are not the owners of those money, they are a only working for these people I mentioned. The CBN are beginning to work on regulating the BDC, there are reports that the capital base of any registered BDC would be increased to 2 billion naira soon. |

PastorOlokonla:GEJ appointed his allies into critical sectors, igbo being his major beneficiaries, Buhari did same, likewise Tinubu appointing his own allies. After each Administration, we shall compare performances. |

PastorOlokonla:The actions of Obi and his headless mobs is no where near being a credible opposition but bitter opposition, a tribal-driven opposition. No sensible opposition will throw his own country under the bus such that another country could run over it. If some bunch of illiterates or online barbarians do it, a former boss of a Government agency should have had a measure of self restriction. Obi himself is not cut out to be a leader, he'd better be more useful following Atiku. His efforts at trying to be a voice of the opposition have been wishy washy, very unreasonable and incompetent. |

PressMyButton:You clearly don't understand the issue here, those guys hustle for customer then take them to their boss. Is that a crime under any law in Nigeria? |

femisplash: I agree. GeJ, PMB and Tinubu are all tribalistic. Its in the blood of an average Nigerian to either be nepotistic or tribalistic. Why are we then dismissing the complaints of Obi as tribal sentiments. He is entitled to his own tribalism like PMB, GEJ or Tinubu. Nobody is above criticism. If Tinubu is doing the right things, all he has to do is ignore the criticisms and move on. Do not feel bad when individuals criticize afterall thats the beauty of democracy. Thats what Icons like Fawehinmi, Tai Solarin and co fought for with their lives. |

femisplash: The global economy works like a pyramid, the developed countries at the top and the developing countries at the bottom. A countries exchange rate is affected by both external and internal factors. Take Nigeria as an example. The main Internal factors affecting our exchange rate is the depletion of our excess crude account and our low revenue to GDP ratio. While the main external factors are the US federal reserve raising interest rates and other global conflicts as a result of issues between America and China. Back to the topic Commodity prices are about the same in every country, so if Nigeria produces an excess amount of corn, the price of corn doesn’t only get cheaper in Nigeria, but every other country. This is because the excess corn will push prices down in Nigeria which will attract buyers from Neighboring countries. This same logic applies to energy (crude oil and natural gas). People in developed countries, with their earning high valued incomes, can easily afford higher energy prices. People in poorer countries cannot. SAM AMADI’s MYTO plan was to gradually raise the tariff Nigerians paid for electricity. This would have removed the subsidies on electricity and boosted investments in our power sector. SAM AMADI’s plan failed because the GEJ administration wasted the money in the excess crude account saved by Obasanjo and Yaradua, and the GEJ administration also issued Eurobonds. The devaluation of the Naira has made Nigerians poorer, thus de-industrializing Nigeria. |
