Is There Any Sane Lesson From Genesis 38? by AntiChristian: 12:14pm On Feb 28 |
Is there any sane lesson from Genesis 38, of one of the ancestors of Jesus Christ? Genesis 38 tells the story of Judah and his family. The chapter begins with Judah leaving his brothers and marrying a Canaanite woman named Shua. They have three sons: Er, Onan, and Shelah. Judah arranges for his oldest son, Er, to marry a woman named Tamar. However, Er is wicked in the eyes of the Lord, so the Lord takes his life. Why God no kill the Father Judah? This is the start of onanism in the Bible! God dey approve this kind custom of inheriting women... 1 Like 1 Share |

AntiChristian: You were even mad enough to create a thread for this? See why i always say you muslims are mad? Every sane person knows that marriage is not the wrong exactly as no one says a christian marrying an atheist or an ibo marrying an hausa is wrong. But of course, madmuslims like you are not capable of seeing this. And the obvious lesson is to know that God sees everything you do and He will respond to any evil you do. 3 Likes |

Dtruthspeaker:Why use the word mad? Na so your mama train you? See why i always say you muslims are mad?So just because a Muslim posted so all Muslims are mad? In fact your parents really sabi train kids o! Hope your kids won't be trained to call everyone mad like this! Every sane person knows that marriage is not the wrong exactly as no one says a christian marrying an atheist or an ibo marrying an hausa is wrong.Too many typo, incoherent and illegible sentences! Na so so abuse! And the obvious lesson is to know that God sees everything you do and He will respond to any evil you do.That's not derived from Genesis 38. You lied! The only lesson here is you a Holy Spirit filled Christian calling Muslims mad! |

AntiChristian:So, Does Allah needs the permission of people to kill anyone? The faulty foundation of your Taoheed is disturbing you to a point you need to distract yourself from the heat. Face the truth my dear: Mohammed has successfully 419ed you. He gave you a repackaged Arabian Deity served by Abdullah his father as the same God of the people of the Book. You have come to show clearly that Allah cannot be Yahweh: all along, you have followed a lie! 2 Likes 1 Share |

AntiChristian:I am curious! Since the woman accepted to sleep with the brother-in-law to sire a child for the dead husband, what part of the culture do you not find acceptable? There are different cultures the world over that allow individuals to choose for themselves— not referring to cultures that impose on individuals— as they see fit. What makes one culture — all of them of teachings and traditions of men — better than another culture? |

Kobojunkie:That tradition is sore...how can woman be sleeping around with one family when she is not a dog or abi is she a slave.. Even slave cannot be sleeping around like that |
Re: Is There Any Sane Lesson From Genesis 38? by Kobojunkie: 9:27pm On Feb 28 |
Expanse2020:So you are telling me that when in your religion/tradition a man marries more than one woman from the same family it means your religion/tradition is sore as well? The man is a dog in that case, abi? Come on now! Sleeping around with one family? Her husband was dead and she agreed to produce an heir anyway so she slept with the man's brother? What is sore about that? How can that constitute slavery as you claim? Again, what makes your tradition better than the tradition indicated in the particular chapter? 1 Like |

Expanse2020:You concur that Allah is a Liar who said: Qur'an 29:46 Do not argue with the people of the Book unless in a fair way, apart from those who act wrongly, and say to them: "We believe what has been sent down to us, and we believe what has been sent down to you. Our God and your God is one, and to Him we submit." Allah named one of his prophet with the name of a pagan God Yahweh Quran 19:7 (His prayer was answered): "O Zakariya! We give thee good news of a son: His name shall be Yahya: on none by that name have We conferred distinction before." You have the Spirit of lies from satan 1 Like 1 Share |

Expanse2020:But, at the time of Genesis 38, The people of Israel had not arrived and the God of Israel had not declared fornication a sin in the land of Israel. So, what makes you think your particular tradition any better than theirs? |
Re: Is There Any Sane Lesson From Genesis 38? by Expanse2020(m): 10:59pm On Feb 28 |
Kobojunkie:How are you so sure that fornication was not declared as a sin were you living in that time |
Re: Is There Any Sane Lesson From Genesis 38? by Kobojunkie: 11:11pm On Feb 28 |
Expanse2020:This is why I say that you need to read the book for your own self to understand a lot of these things. It is recorded, for instance, that before God made a covenant with Abraham, circumcision was not even a thing. |

Re: Is There Any Sane Lesson From Genesis 38? by AntiChristian: 4:24pm On Feb 29 |
Kobojunkie: Yes, why did God approve inheritance of women? Can your brother in law inherit you if the contemporary laws permit it? And why did God kill the two sons but didn't kill the father who slept with his daughter in law in harlotry? And this incest is part of the geneology of Jesus your Lord! |
Re: Is There Any Sane Lesson From Genesis 38? by Kobojunkie: 4:32pm On Feb 29 |
AntiChristian:Where exactly did God approve this inheritance of women you speak of? 2. What Contemporary law is that? Is the law mandated or of choice? 3. God killed the two sons? The story instead says that God was angered by Oma's deceit. He practically raped the woman since the agreement was for him to give her a child so she could remain a daughter-in-law in the family by it. 4. You mean Seth who married his own sister and Abraham who married his own cousin... aren't better examples of incest in the geneology of Jesus Christ? Or should we also highlight murder committed by David, etc. I guess my question is why exactly do you seem to think that the genealogy which produced Jesus Christ had to be without blemish of sin? To what end?. |
Re: Is There Any Sane Lesson From Genesis 38? by AntiChristian: 5:13pm On Feb 29 |
Kobojunkie: Same Genesis 38. If He doesn't go against then that's approval. God did kill Onan when he spilled the sperm from copulating with his elder bro's wife! God should have killed him for sleeping with the lady! Not for spilling sperm! 2. What Contemporary law is that? Is the law mandated or of choice?Mandated laws like that of Gen 38! 3. God killed the two sons? The story instead says that God was angered by Oma's deceit. He practically raped the woman since the agreement was for him to give her a child so she could remain a daughter-in-law in the family by it.He didn't rape her. The context of the story is clear! Don't fabricate into this matter! Judah got a wife for Er, his firstborn, and her name was Tamar. But Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the Lord’s sight; so the Lord put him to death. You may be tempted to recite these to your daughter as memory verse! 4. You mean Seth who married his own sister and Abraham who married his own cousin... aren't better examples of incest in the genealogy of Jesus Christ? Or should we also highlight murder committed by David, etc. I guess my question is why exactly do you seem to think that the genealogy which produced Jesus Christ had to be without blemish of sin? To what end?. At the start of the world marriage between sibling would be permitted as there was no option! Alternate males may marry alternate females as they were being born! Abel's twin sister may marry Cain's twin sister and so on! I never believed Abraham could have married his blood sister! Your own translation differs from ours as we translate it as "Sister in faith" and not by blood! Also David was a Holy Muslim Prophet! He did not kill anyone in Islam nor did he commit adultery! He used to fast one day on and the next day off continuously! All those Bathsheba and Uriah's story no enter am in Islam! And about Jesus, Christians portray him as without blemish! As in "All man have sinned Romans 3:23" and Jesus was a man approved of God Acts 2:22...but yet he is sinless 2 Cor 5:21! We all inherit sin from Adam but we didn't inherit Cain's and others from their Generations! And Jesus didn't inherit any sins too! |

Kobojunkie: But God no approve the tradition men chose for themselves to sleep with men by men? Is your God selective in the approvals? |
Re: Is There Any Sane Lesson From Genesis 38? by Kobojunkie: 5:30pm On Feb 29 |
AntiChristian:He didn't? Cause last I checked, the only place God disapproved of that is in His Nation of Israel in the Land of Canaan. Everywhere else then and even now, homosexuality roamed free and without condemnation from Him. So, again, I ask you, are you insinuating that God has to have approved of every tradition chosen by men for themselves? 2. Well, duh! He chose the people of Israel as His only inheritance in the land of men. Ain't that selective enough. It was in Israel He then gave His own approved Law ‐--- commandments and traditions. So why do you insist that every tradition is approved by Him when what is written clearly shows that has never been the case. 1 Like |

Re: Is There Any Sane Lesson From Genesis 38? by Kobojunkie: 2:23pm On Mar 01 |

AntiChristian:1. So the many local deities declared by the Nigerian people evade you? Na only the foreign deities you hold for head? 2. Did Satan ever tell you he is the god of Nigerians that you would choose to assert him so? |

Kobojunkie:Local deities? On whose authority? Abeg! 2. Did Satan ever tell you he is the god of Nigerians that you would choose to assert him so? 2 Corinthians 4:4 Satan is the God of this world! Yahweh is only the God of Israel! Allah is the God of all that exists (mankind, Jinn/Satan, Angels, earth, animals, etc)! |
