giselle237: I don’t think the financial means is an issue for me, I think I could cover the trip without resulting to public funds for any reason sir, I take about about 600k every month…. and other little credit I get. Is it wrong for for account to receive other deposits or I should keep it strictly for salary and expenses so I don’t cause more scrutiny? |

Jolene474:Even if you take 10 million monthly, ECO is going to go through your documents same way… so it’s always better to think ahead |

Kindly advise sir. @giselle |

Good day house, I applied for a visiting visa late last year, for my sister's graduation but I was refused. I would have posted this earlier but not have much time to. Pls could someone explain why, cos I don't really understand. The funds I indicated I would use for the trip expenses were in a savings account and it my personal savings over the years. And it was well over 10m which would have covered the cost of the trip. While about 3.5m in the account for business purposes. Pls could someone explain what they meant here

Hello sir, I am planning to visit UK with my family very soon. When filing the application, is it better to mention my relatives(a sister and a cousin) in the application? Or is it better to visit on our own without mentioning any family members living there? Btw, we have some properties in Nigeria and good amount of money to cover our expenses. I am just trying to avoid visa refusal. Thanks in advance for your reply giselle237: |

ddre330: What's self-employment? Do you have a job, do you run a company? Where are your employment letters and cac registration certificate for this company you are self employed under? The idea of having a savings account is not just for you to be saving over the years for. The visa officer doesn't care that you have been saving over the years, the are more interested in seeing a clearer picture of how your monthly remuneration and expenses make you eligible to deserve this visa to travel. The ECO been even dey use your proposed self employment crack joke what is it you do? Lol the oga mention the self employment reach 4 times. You mean to say you didn't disclose what is it you do, not once throughout your application? O wrong naw lol. What's your salary? Out of that salary how much do you spend monthly? How much is then left as disposable income and how that translates to how much is in the account you submitted including the workings of how you would have earned those monies over the past few years. You even went to be including multiple accounts trying to impress the ECO based on you be Arab money abi . You ppl think it's by having fat accounts lol, abeg it's not even in the slightest, oyibo man no send your papa money. On the contrary sef, it's even more dangerous to have huge amount in several accounts which will not be plausible to explain with short duration of employment as you go dey explain explain tire no evidence. You think it's by dumping one huge amount as opening balance assuming all will end well without proper explanation or a cover letter? O wrong naw! They are on the lookout to prevent money launderers from coming in . Next time just use one account please and don't be abusing the money inside for any business purposes, it confuses them and leaves your avcount open to interpretation. There should be only one source of income, your company's bank account That sister's graduation format don cast as well better to say you are going for a vakay 1 Like |

Thegamingorca: Hi thanks for your reply. Most of these information you stated here were well included and explained in the documents submitted. And the graduation was not a format, my sister was graduating and I wanted to spend some time with her, the necessary documents were uploaded too. I would say what I didn't explain was the personal savings (which I did not know better at that point). |

Thegamingorca: I run an ecommerce and logistics business. I would appreciate if you could explain if there are better way I'd have structured my application. Thanks |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Thegamingorca(m): 9:54am On Mar 31 |
ddre330: So why wasn't that captured in the application? I don't know what English to reuse. 0) provide cac registration for your work with the status being active on cac website. 1) have a job designation at you e-commerce organisation. You are a director or manager. 2) Have a salary package from your work. You are entitled to so so so so each month as basic, amounting to so so so so annually. 3) Remove all those large money as opening balance start from 500,000 in your savings account. Add your salary each month from your company bank account for the next six months also spend at most 1/6 of your salary from that account each month. At the time of application you should have at most 6 million there. Do this and apply next time. N.B. With the 10 million you have accumulated Sef you can recirculate part of it back into your personal bank account. Don't ask me how. 2 Likes |

Gokoyer1401:You must mention your sister. If you don’t have details of your cousin like international passport details and all and you can’t contact them to get this then it could be said that there’s possibility that you are not in touch with them. But the details where it asks of your sister, you must fill it truthfully 1 Like |

ddre330: There is nothing wrong with your application. They assume that whatever you claim to earn as income, that your government should confirm this. So they want to see a tax document from your government detailing how much you earn and how much tax you pay. Or an audit of you business account, showing how much you make and how much is your profit. If you are lucky, the audit document alone will serve. Else you will need tax clearance to back it up. And it will cost you money, depending on how much you quoted as your annual income. That's the mistake more self employed people make. You can quote high figures and have large savings, but then your tax will have to match the figure you quoted. Get your business audited for like 2 years, and arrive at your quoted annual income after tax. Use this document and apply again. If it does not work, back it up with tax and apply again. |

ddre330:From what I read, you should demonstrate that your business is actually doing so well that it can afford to pay you ₦6million a year. A company that can pay only it's CEO ₦6million, must have other employees and these employees will ear a pay and the company will be paying as well and still have enough as balance after expenses. How can your company making net income of ₦7million and pay CEO ₦6million |

What is the source of income in your account?was it a bulk transfer? Did you write personal statement to show how the money came in?likewise for huge money that left your account.is there daily deposit of money in your account? Your statement of account is not showing your income. You need to attach landed property, fixed deposit too ddre330: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by ddre330: 11:29am On Apr 01 |
Jannyfranc: Hi thanks for your response. I attached a few landed properties documents and some fixed deposits too, also the bulk deposits and outflow were explained. Sadly, I did not explain the opening balance in the personal account cos I thought since it was just a savings account. Also probably there is a better way to structure an application and write the cover letter, I think I've seen someone did something like table of content .. cos I feel they might not have gone through all the documents attached. |

crackcrack:Pls I will like to ask 1) if one has some investment say in treasury bills, is it wise to submit this in addition to ur salary bank statement, will u need to show how u accumulated the funds? Am wondering is I shud just leave that investment out. Cos some times it's like the less information you give the less reason 4 scrutiny. I had a refusal in 2022 because my bank statement had alot of funds flying in and out, the ECO cud not understand, and going thru this thread now I understand my mistake. However I want to submit only my salary bank statement showing only my salary and my monthly expenses. So my question is , should I just submit my 6months salary bank statement and not mention any other investments? Question 2; Do I need to explain my sponsors bank statement? My husband is sponsoring me and my kids. Last time application I was the only sponsor. I intend to submit his 6months bank statment( savings account) showing the amount he intends to sponsor the trip. Pls kindly advise. Thank you so much all |

EmirOfBodija: Sorry about the refusal. With three refusals, I strongly suggest you leave UK for now. If you really want her to go on vacation, please choose another Country. When that is successful, you can try the UK again next year or so. |
