Where does this mention Israel as a land? Quran mentioned children of Israel just as it mentioned children of Adam (as people). In one place it mentioned the alternative name of Jacob as Israel.

I know the land was called Canaan and then Philistine (which britain called palestine today) in the bible. When this current Israel was created different names was suggested before Israel was chosen.
