"The cause of the crash, of course, isn't clear -- at least not clear to us," White House spokesperson John Kirby tells us about helicopter crash that killed Iran's Raisi.

"But I would note that Iranian official sources are out there citing poor flying conditions as a cause for concern -- specifically fog. And every country, no matter who they are, has a responsibility, their own responsibility to ensure the safety and reliability of its equipment, and that includes civil aviation."

"It's not surprising -- sadly, but not surprising -- that the Iranian regime wouuld once again find a way to try to blame the United States for problems of its own making," Kirby said.

Jennifer Jacobs

“Expressing condolences is a generally accepted procedure. Raisi is responsible for atrocities in his country and violence against protesters. He was also responsible for Iran's support of terrorist networks around the world, including support for Hamas. There was no doubt that this was a man who had a lot of blood on his hands. However, as we always do, we usually regret the loss of life and therefore express our condolences."

The man was just a ceremonial figure. The executive power is in the hands of the Supreme Leader of Iran.

Well, he actually does from when he was a judge to when he became president..

No matter what you do in this life, try not to be unfortunate else you'll die unfortunate death.
Accept Jesus Christ now while you're still alive. No two ways about it.
Tomorrow might be too late.
Peace 🙏🙏🙏🙏

He was a known killer.

He really dealt with Iranians who are seeking freedom from the strict islamic police enforcers known in Nigeria as hisbah. He vowed to wipe Israel out from the face of the planet.

There's nothing you will tell me that Mossad didn't have a hand in this crash, these guys will get you not because they can but because they must especially with a guy highly placed in their watchlist with considerable strategic influence in the policy of Iran as regards the Middle East which will definitely affect Isreal in a very bad way. Give me the option of hitting the Head of Quds Force or The President of Iran, I will probably choose the The President who is the Boss of the Chief of Iran Republican Guards, who in turn is the Boss of the Head of Quds Force, the same entity accused of funding Hamas and other terrorist groups. Instead of cutting the head of the snake, they went to cut off the head of the Snake's Mother. If you do that, the Snake wouldn't be born, talk less of causing wahala...

Before nko? Who say salutation na love?

My prayer for good Nairalanders this year:

May your blessings increase like the price of fuel in Nigeria, and may your enemies fall like the value of Naira.

Same way the US, UK and the EU will condole with Nigeria, when Tinubu dies, though he is a criminal, a drug pusher with hands soiled with blood.

Bush, Clinton, Obama have more blood on their hands than Raisi would in 3 lifetimes.

The US have murdered more than 3 million innocent civilians since 2000.

Yes oh
USA have said their own mind clearly do not blame them or Israel for it. Because they are already blaming the economic blockage so couldn't access parts for their old fleets. But why can't they buy from their Allies Russia and China.

LIE.

All countries have internal enemies. If Biden should die today some Americans will be happy. If Trump should die in such an accident also, many Americans will mock him and be happy. If Tinubu should die today, many emergency lovers of Nigeria will be happy.
So what's your point?
