Countdown To Saraki's Trial: Will Justice Prevail? by tomakint: 11:52pm On Oct 11, 2015
It all began with 13 - Count Charges against him and after dodging the days of trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal on two occasions, he eventually showed up on the 23rd of September only for the case to be adjourned till Oct 21st till 23rd. From all indications, the trial will commence and by 23rd there is every likelihood that a case of corruption will be established against Saraki especially going by his antics to have the case waived aside through his constant pleading with the Presidency.

Are we about to witness the end of an era for a political traitor of our time in few days from now as the accused, embattled Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, face what may likely be his FINAL BATTLE in his gross corruption case at the CCT come Oct 21st, 22nd and 23rd. I hope and pray that JUSTICE will prevail!

Not only for Bukola Saraki but for all the looters in the history of Nigeria democracy since 1999.

All the corruption cases in Nigeria should be given accelerated hearing and those found guilty should be dealt with according to the law of the land.

If Nigeria will ever be a great Nation, our judiciary or judicial system should be holistically review, enough of unending court proceedings, enough of granting perpetual injunction to the looters of our common wealth.

- Peter Odili's perpetual injunction granted by Justice Ibrahim N. Buba stopping Nigerian security agencies including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission from investigating the former governor of River State, Peter Odili, for corruption.

- Nigerian court headed by Justice Adamu Bello also granted perpetual injunction against Maina’s arrest. Abdulrasheed Maina, a former Chairman of the Pension Reform facing trial for N195b pension scam.

- Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi the former CBN Governor through his Counsel, Prof Yemi Osibanjo (SAN), also got an interim order of injunction from Justice Buba, restraining the government from arresting, detaining, or harassing the applicant (Sanusi).

It's high time we addressed the loopholes in our judicial system which our lawyers and SANs like Prof. Yemi Osinbajo are exploiting to continue defending looters and corrupt leaders in Nigeria.

Shalom!

Very funny dude!! If this case is concluded before march 2016 then it would have been too swift!! Your naivety and crass ignorance of the judicial process really amazes me!!

The CCT trial would not even have gone half way by OCT 23 let alone appeals to the appeal and supreme courts. The appeal court is even yet to rule on the CCT's jurisdiction let alone the main trial
