There's also a side by side comparison with X5 selfies in that video, i think.

the processor on the X5(p60) is slightly powerful than the ONE(P23) .

Slightly?

It is far powerful than the P23.

The only positive the UMIDIGI ONE has over the X5 is its design.

ityP:

1. The Nokia x5 comes with a p60 chipset... That totally beats the p23 on the umidigi one... Hence, the Nokia x5 would play high graphic games with the highest possible setting seamlessly while u would have to reduce the quality of the game in the umidigi one.

2. Battery. The Nokia x5 beats the umidigi one in terms of battery management. Even tho it comes with a lower 3060 mAh comapred to the 3550 on the umidigi one, it would carry u longer than the umidigi one because of the chipset that optimizes battery and hence is more power efficient.

3. Camera. The Nokia x5 beats the umidigi one both in terms of front facing camera and rear facing camera. Its also better in low light. Plus, the bokeh effect in the umidigi one is very mediocre compared to the Nokia x5.

4. Ouick updates. As we speak, Nokia x5 has already received Andriod 9 pie... I don't know if Umidigi on would ever receive the pie update.

5. Price. Presently on Jumia, the Nokia x5 is priced at 48k while the Umidigi one is 49k. That's 1k saved. At least u go use am buy earpiece...

You see why i said the Nokia x5 beats it in all ramifications

This is apt. I don't know how people come to conclusions when comparing phones o.

With reference to point number 4, the UMIDIGI one will never receive an android 9 update.

Umidigi one, though prettier to look at from the back, doesn't feel as good as Nokia X5 the hand. The frame and glass back are not glued together perfectly(like iPhone X). You can feel when one stops and the other begins when you rub your hands across the back.

I take it you've seen all my reviews and comparisons, if you've not, you can't understand the following.

X6 has the GCAM advantage. Also has the software glitch disadvantage, which leads to annoyings hangs for 4-5 seconds, sometimes more. Basically, I can't recommend X6 to anyone that isn't super into GCAM. Nokia X5 is the way to go for Nokia lovers.
TECNO Camon 11 Pro has only HD+ display, Camon X Pro has a dated design now. Both cameras are on par with Nokia X6 without GCAM.

You can buy X6 with hopes that you don't get those occasional hangs. Ask other users if they have that software issue on Android 9 Pie, it might just be me.

update: uninstall and reinstall solved it
update ii: the ba3 optimization of this phone na something else 8hrs+ SoT 100-15% with LTE on except for when I was watching my fav series

If u're good with those customization buttons you won't be complaining,... GBWhatsapp is way better than the bland stock. Those boys give stock developers ideas. Believe it or not.

I wasn't talking about GCAM, i meant the UI on X6. While using apps or just scrolling, it can hang for no reason on Android 9 Pie. Meanwhile, GCAM isn't optimized for other phones as it is on Google Pixel so don't expect it to be as fast as your normal camera app.

Man, I've really thought about these phones sad (x6 & x5), and I've come to the conclusion that they ain't worth it angry... I mean, you're spending 64/48k on a phone that you're not even sure if at all it's going to support your preferred network's 4G mode, it's known to have multiple hardware or software issues (the fact that it's fine now doesn't mean it'll be fine after 2 months undecided), upon all there's no warranty and you'll have to pay a lot of money just to get it done after a fault(I hope for your sake it's not the glass or charging port shocked), the battery isn't really cool at the end of the day(no matter how many optimisation processes u use) and there are other phones in that price range with better cameras... not to mention the fact that the one with the outstanding mtk p60 processor has ram management issues while the other with OK ram management has a less than average processor.... to top it all up, the Nokia we grew up with, the Nokia that created those magnificent bulletproof torchlight phones cool and the lumia series is now just a marketing name cry, the real company producing these phones is called HMD.. omo, as someone with a 65K phone budget, I think the Xiaomi brand has something better to offer in form of the note 5 & 6 pro cool
It's not that I'm discouraging people o (sincerely I don't think I've said anything here that isn't true undecided), experiences differ, I'm just saying my honest view of the whole thing.... isn't that what the nairaland forum is for??

After searching all over Jumia, Konga and OLX for an affordable original 64gb mcard for my X5 to no avail.

I finally came across one on AliExpress and after going through the customer review, I just had to order one for myself asap. It's probably the best seller review I have come across on AliExpress.

So guys if u are in search of an mcard to expand your storage and have the patience (which I don't) to wait for 12days to receive it... Go order urs

I was going to walk away after reading ur comment but there is something u said that really, really pisses me off.

Man, I've really thought about these phones sad (x6 & x5), and I've come to the conclusion that they ain't worth it

Am not sure what u r basing ur comment on but if I had the option of rebuying a phone, it would still be the Nokia X5. Why?

Battery: contrary to what u stated above, the Nokia X5's battery is the most optimized battery usage in all the phones I have ever used (Samsung Galaxy S4, S5, S6 Edge and Galaxy J6 plus), I have never used a Xiaomi, Tecno or an Infinix phone but a few people I know do and from their observed usage, i can tell u I haven't met anyone whose phones battery seems better optimized than the X5.

Let me explain, let's say I charge my phone to 100% and just want to watch movies all day, it takes approximately 1hr 15mins for my battery to drop to 99% and I can watch movies all day from 8am to 7pm and I'll still have around 60% battery left, mind u both WiFi and data are turned off. wink.

On a normal days usage of surfing the net, chatting and moderate gaming on the go, I still end up with between 30% to 50% juice left by the time I get home around 8pm, to be honest, my X5 has never seen 30% battery since I got it two months ago. Like I said, never have I used a phone with such well optimized battery.

Processor: I think this is where the X5 makes a home run. The X5 is easily the fastest phone I have used and I can proudly say my X5 has never hanged or temporarily slowed down on me, not even once. It can handle pretty much everything you throw at it and still have room to spare. Opening, closing and multitasking between apps has never been this fast for me, now I am starting to believe Samsung might have lost a loyal customer in me, not even the Galaxy S10 interests me anymore grin

Design: Another home run for the X5. The phones design is simply a thing of beauty, it's so nicely designed that it's always pulling in admirers when ever I pull it out to use in public. Even though I think the notch could have been just a little smaller, it still gives the phone an aesthetic appeal that resembles that of an iPhone, especially when using apps with full white backgrounds, like Instagram and reading in your browser, it never fails to appeal to onlookers. So far 3 people I know have gotten this phone just from seeing it once in my hands and 2 others are planning on buying it as soon as it gets restocked. The only issue is that the phone looks so good that after trying on a pouch and screen guard and seeing how ugly it was in comparison to the phones design, I dumped both and have been using the phone like that... Yeah as u can guess, some bitch I gave the phone to admire let it slip off her hand and cracked my outer screen slightly. Well I'll have to order a replacement from AliExpress, and it's quite cheap.

Network Support: Although I initially had my reservations about buying a phone that seemed to support fewer LTE bands than it should, I still went ahead with getting this phone because the pros seemed to outweigh the cons, and I am so glad I did, so far it supports every networks 4G I had hoped it did, with exception to Glo's 4G, mine supports Airtel 4G, Etisalat 4G, Ntel 4G and surprisingly MTN 4G also works. I have no issue with it not supporting Glo's 4G as even the Glo's H+ speed is good enough to not be crazy about its 4G, in my area that is. So unless u r strictly on Glo's bandwagon, then don't make this a factor for not getting the phone.

Speaker & Charging: The phones speaker is surprisingly louder than I had anticipated, louder than all my previous phones. It's surprising because it only has one speaker outlet and yet it's quite loud, which is quite a bonus.
Although the X5 does not support fast charging on paper, it does charge fast enough for me, I usually get my phone fully charged in less than an hour, mind u it's never flat, maybe from 33% to 100% in under an hour. So that's a plus.

Affordability: Getting a phone with this good a spec and aesthetic design that can make an onlooker drool over your phone at such a cheap cost is pretty much a dream come true. It never fails to impress me when someone asks me what phone am using and i say Nokia, Lol... u need to see the suprise and sometimes shock that appears on their faces. Samsung would charge u a 100+ for that, and this is coming from a Samsung loyalist. Enough said.

Issue: The only issue I can honestly point out that pisses me off on a regular basis is Android PIE, it has a fu*ked up ram management optimization, I can't even leave my apps running in the background without pie dropping the axe on them, it even kills 3rd party download managers downloading in the background once u leave it and some other app all running and go do something like say check you instagram.. Pie fu*ks u overcry cry of course i love all the features that comes with Pie, but ram management is so not one of them. But that can always be fixed in an update.

To sum it all up, if I had to rebuy a phone... You can bet it would still be the Nokia X5.

So saying the phone is not worth it when u neither own or use one is an insult to others using it, I personally find that to be quite insulting as I believe the phone is worth more than I got it for.

I wanted replying him before but I decided to wait for someone else to do that.

Reason why I didn't reply him in the first instance is that, he is not using the phone. Not X5 and not X6. That can be confirmed from where he said X5 and X6 uses P20 chipset grin grin.

He based his review on what others on here are saying about their devices.

You can't take such person serious especially where he's moniker reads Troublemaker.

Exactly why I just had to say something, I was gonna ignore the comment but it felt like I had been slapped, and worse is the fact that he doesn't even use the phone to know of it's performance and has probably never seen the real thing to appreciate its beauty.

I was going to walk away after reading ur comment but there is something u said that really, really pisses me off.

Let me explain, let's say I charge my phone to 100% and just want to watch movies all day, it take approximately 1hr 15mins for my battery to drop to 99% and I can watch movies all day from 8am to 7pm and I'll still have around 60% battery left, mind u both WiFi and data are turned off.

Even though the X5 does not support fast charging on paper, it does charge fast enough for me, I usually get my phone fully charged in less than an hour, mind u it's never flat, maybe from 33% to 100% in under an hour. So that's a plus.

Affordability: Getting a phone with this good a spec and aesthetic design that can make an onlooker drool over your phone at such a cheap cost is pretty much a dream come true. It never fails to disappoint me when someone asks me what phone am using and i say Nokia, Lol... u need to see the suprise and sometimes shock that appears on their faces.

So saying the phone is not worth it when u neither own or use one is an insult to others using it, I personally find that to be quite insulting as I believe the phone is worth more than I got it for.
who is brain washing you my brother... Pls stop degrading my outstanding Nokia X5! Order from mizik and have your first orgasm once you unbox the phone alone and take the wrap off its back. I use the blue color and I can tell you that everytime I take off my pouch to clean this phone, I JUST SMILE... Performance is top notch for me, every night I play music with this phone till morning and still get 93-95%, in school after almost all the ladies in my department Don snap, play games, browse due to airtel awesome 4G network, I still come back home with at least 48% juice at 5pm, who really gives a flying hoot about glo 4G? Like seriously What exactly does this phone lack abeg because all you wrote up there is spoiling my easter celebrations... I know not about the x6 but X5? Don't try that again!
