The Almajiri System In The North. by Sunmolar(m): 9:46am On May 11, 2020 |
The almajiri virus is another epidemy that requires urgent nipping in the bud in the space called Nigeria. almajiris, is popular in the northern & middle belt, where group of boys who have parents are given out to a mallam to take custody, teach them & leave go about on the streets begging for bread.I don't know the objectives of the people that setup this system. How can a sensible man or woman give birth to a child for the aim of populating the streets without giving them training & care? looking at the growing population of almajiris in the north and their spread to other states,if not brought under control everyone may have him/her self to blame why the required attention wasn't given in the abolishing of this system at the right time. One needs to know the contribution of this system to the Nigeria economy if it's worth it, otherwise it should be curtailed by the federal government. |

Dear Op! Your weapon of propaganda which is Almajiri is gone for good!! All the remaining Almajiris have been taken back to their villages... Whit the government registering all of them... They will be sponsored by the government to go to school... The Northern Governors come together to ban the system and vow to deal with anyone who try to oppose them! They signed it into law! But the Igbos are not happy with this!! Almejiri system is the most powerful tool for your propaganda in painting the north black!! You never want it to end.... This is the reason you people keep creating thread everyday on Nairaland to remind us about Almajiris! Spreading propaganda on how the north are planing to send Almajiris to the east... Al-majiri is no more... I feel your pains Look for another means of spreading your lies and propaganda... Almajiri system is now a past tense.... So if you want continue creating threads everyday for Almajiri matter... It will not bring them back! 2 Likes |

You people have have been creating this same Almajiri thread since last week.... Almejiri activities has Been banned and they were taking back to their villages! Majority of them were orphans who the government is now taking care... You people have been resisting imaginary Almajiri being moved to the east! Some of your politicians are now using the Almajiris to catch cruise... No body is taking Almajiri to the south! Almejiri is gone for good... And I'm very sure many of you don't like that Your most powerful weapon of propaganda is gone!! Look for another Alternative Almajiri is gone for good for good! Education has now taking over the North!!

Talking about ending almajirisim without talking about birth control is total rubbish. High breeding rate is the bane behind this devilish act. As long as parents in the north continues to fail in their basic responsibility of providing food for their children, those children will naturally go to the street and beg for food. 2 Likes |

[s] Arrewa:[/s] All fingers are not equal, even beggars are there in the US and the rest of them. The problem is that, Kano State alone have more beggars than the entire South put together. You don't need to cover it. Tell your people to wake up. You guys are dragging us behind human capital development. The north is dead, needs resuscitation!!! We know that Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world and only North contribute 98.5% to that shit. This is not a time for Nepotism. The strength you guys channel to blind Religion, Boko Haram, Banditry, Begging, etc. should be re-channeled to rugged revolution. Your leaders know that creating Boko Haram and all that sort will taint the image of the North but they don't give a fuvk about all of you except their children. How many of their children is into Almajiri?? ...Pride of the North Indeed. 2 Likes 1 Share

The east is the only region dragging Nigeria backward!! Tell me one thing you produce that contribute to our national pause of not crime??
