The Lagos State Police have identified the three pedestrians crushed to death on Monday, when a Mack Truck driver, Abdullahi Mumuni, lost control and rammed into them.

The pedestrians were identified as Kabiru Okunola, Awoyemi Lanre, and Azeez; all males.

The incident, which occurred around 9:30 a.m. in the Magodo area of the state, involved a fourth pedestrian who is said to be responding to treatment at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, where the other three died.

The surviving victim was identified as Dele Ibrahim.

It was gathered that the truck also hit a Nissan Sunny Saloon Car with Reg. No. FQ 981 EKY along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The deceased persons' corpses have been deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy.

The state police spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, said the case was under investigation at the Isheri Division, Lagos.
