1. The Use Of The Word MATURE. Many people usually write or say- My father is a "matured" man or he's very "matured" for his age. This is incorrect because in this context, mature acts as an adjective not a verb. The correct form is my father is a "mature" man and he's very "mature" for his age. However, mature can be used in the verb form. Eg. He has "matured" into one of the country's finest footballer. It matures... etc
