That is a good move to the preset destination.
The nurtw had contributed nuisance to this nation,if you heard what they made daily on it / see the car they ride in, am sure you might surprise for months.
Good move the Governor.

I keep saying, good, safe and orderly society is ours and we must do anything to get that good, safe and orderly society. No more business as usual.

With good and focused leadership, nothing is impossible.

afam4eva: Nice one. One area that i'll say Fashola's government is miles ahead of other governments is in the area of enforcement of laws.
gbam!

Actually, this move will guarantee the NURTW more revenue because every commercial driver will be required to register and the database created will be used to collect dues. There will be less money to steal by due collectors.

LASTMA or the like will probably enforce the validity of some sort of certificate or receipt to be displayed by commercial drivers that proves they paid their dues.

It is a win-win situation for all involved. NURTW moves away from the motors parks but in the process they become more organized and better funded.

thirty:

He must have been constulted and agreed with the policy. BRF cant act alone.

mind you Asiwaju control most of the boys in the House of Assembly

Where has Moals chairman, Mr.Tijan Pekis, been since the legalized thieves (police) have been harassing and extorting money from Okada riders? Either they committed traffic offence or not police will hold u and collect your motorcycle, no matter how much u beg them, they will not listen unless they collect at least N2000 from you before they release your okada. That is why I can’t blame okada operators who refuse to respect traffic law. I also ride okada occasionally, these policemen have collected my byke about 7x and none of those occasions that I paid less than N2000. Before I started the okada riding, I used to blame okada men who don’t stop when red light shows, but on two different occasions I have obeyed traffic light, but to my surprise, policeman would surface from where they hide to remove my key and demand for more than the money I cannot make the whole day. There was a day they seized my key at traffic light and I had to pay N3000 before they released my okada. Another day I had to pay N2500 to get my okada back. Since then I too I have learnt how to disobey traffic law. If Fashola is stopping Agbero, let him do it totally. But it is a pitty that after a week now those people will return fully on the road.

This is unlike some foolish government that would tell you they cannot work on a road or complete a project because some elders or boys in the community stopped them from work. Who is area boy when government is ready to work. BRF, carry go.
