NBC is full of corrupted officials from top to bottom. Many initiatives being taken by Nigerians is being frustrated by those at the top at Nbc. Do they want to tell us that they are not aware of Gotv operation. Ogtv recently took a step to go digital in partnership with a company, after all arrangement have been concluded, Nbc was informed and they now went ahead to bring out the yeye white paper. How could you say you are giving just two licenses. I hope the states will form an alliance and fight the stupid white paper because every operator will have to run to nta or the private carrier which will not encourage competition.

So please OP could you enlighten us on why NBC's top brass would attend the unveiling ceremony of a product they termed 'Illegal'? The problem with us in this country is that we're so afraid of COMPETITION that the moment a new Competitor comes on stream, we start Inventing all sorts of malicious and wicked tales. The emergence of Gotv may be through corruption by some top officials of NBC. They should all be purnished and dealth with appropriately. I have always asked people "when was GOtv licenced"?

I was surprised when they started advertising the GOTV Satellite TV alongside the normal DSTV Satellite station. I wondered when they were granted the GOTV License.

@livapul86; you can't term this to be a useless thread, forum like this brings to fore information and matters that concerns our country and most importantly our individuality. Yes, competition boils down to the satisfaction of consumers, but Nigeria has been classified as a nation where anything works... you should see what Uganda government is striking against illegal telecommuniucation and broadcasting operators... 2015 would witness the end of analogue existence, shouldn't we be creating a reliable and trustable ground for our broadcasting industry... don't forget the effect of media to every common man and a country as a whole. How many advance countries do you know its information and broadcasting industry is being handled by foriegners? Even if we're are not that strong now, it shouldn't give room to junks. Having read that article, i proceeded in my findings... Gotv is truly under investigation, but what really matters is the realistic mission of NBC and their utmost loyalty in keeping the integrity of this nation.
