Hi All,
Welcome to the New year,a year of new begining and of fulfilling God's purposes in our lives,God is faithful!Ability to hear God clearly this year is the road to being distinguished this year,, though shall hear a voice, behind you saying this is the way walk ye in it, ,the lord shall order the step of the righteous, commit your way unto the lord, this are some of the numerous verses in the Bible detailing about God's commitment to lead us.This morning we'll be spending considerable time discussing about learning to hear God in fulfilling our destiny.
Our text:Heb 5:14, who because of practise have their senses trained to discern good and evil,

The writer to the Hebrews says,'Solid food is for the mature, who because of practise have their senses trained to discern good and evil.'with maturity comes the increased capacity to see things from God's angle. What an advantage!Mature believers can filter everything that comes their way through the grid of God' word, discerning His will, obeying what He tells them to do.As a result they walk in God's blessing. They pick up signals that immature believers don't have the capacity to grasp, receive or interpret, even though they may be able to communicate some doctrinal facts.
Here's an illustration from everyday life.Suppose you want your daughter to respond with love and trust, but you also want to teach her not to come running when a stranger offers her sweet to get into their car.Your challenge is,your daughter's reasoning powers aren't mature enough to distinguish between someone who loves her,but without maturity she's unable to apply it correctly in a real life situation. So you keep reinforcing the lesson because your child can't always discern a good situation from a bad one.Are you getting the idea? The writer to the Hebrews states,, who because of practise have their senses trained to discern good and evil.'To mature, you must spend time daily in God's word. But you must do more;you must practise it's principles in all your affairs.Only then can you know and enjoy what's good for you.God is committed to as many that will yield to Him,as many that will say 'here am I lord talk to me,lead me and as you do that today God almighty will according to His word talk to you, lead you and direct throughout this year, and you know what!once God is committed, your all round victory this year is fully guaranteed.
The Lord is good.Have a great day!.
