Mr Sycophant, you got it all wrong.Do you think I'll be delighted to watch Nairaland go down?I only advocate freedom of speech here and nothing else.I think your understanding of the word SPAMMING has gaps.I don't have anything against you,but it seems there is 'power failure' in the 'zone of understanding',in that soft and delicate grey-white substance in your head, called BRAIN.

Freedom of speech ko freedom of speech ni. Go and do freedom of speech on your own property . It is people like you who sit in a room and parlour and threaten to take landlord to court for not paying your electricity bills. Irresponsible people like you who insist on selling kulikuli on Lagos traffick instead of forking back to your bush state and begin to cry Fasola is a tribalist for not allowing you freedom to earn a living selling kulikuli on Western Avenue or turbing whole of Ikeja into seconh hand wares market. You are a disgrace to the human race and on this Nairaland forum you have been nothing but Vandals and I am still wondering why you lot have not been exterminated yet for somany weeks. Price of garri indeed. Na so 30 Naira hard you ? Sign that you need a job instead of being a nuisance here.

Seun,

I think you are going about this the wrong way. As the resident Eze Mmuo of Nairaland, I really do not see how enquiring about the relationship between a thread (which more often than none are absolutely useless threads that even hit the frontpage) and the price of Garri can be misconstrued to be 'wrong'..

'How does this affect the price of Garri" is simply a figure of speech particularly an Idiomatic expression that simply means "How does this affect anything'. I really think that you should reconsider your stand on this subject matter and treat it as just another one of those things. Otherwise, anyone who posts any message that is remotely divergent from the topic of a thread should be banned.

I would say thanks for your cooperation, but seeing as you have not once cooperated on any of my requests in the past from 'Creating a Photography thread, to making an Igbo man a super Mod to even stopping the ethinically charge Tribalism against the Igbo Nairaland community', I would end this message with;

Thanks and Hope you surprise me for once in over 5 years on nairaland.

God bless you.
'how does this affect the price of garri?' IMO is an idiomatic expression which should be 101% inculcated in our everyday use of english. Geddit?
We are always eager to relegate our local content to the background of baseless ideologies and this is not good.
I HAVE A DREAM THAT ONE DAY, 'how has this affected the price of garri?' WILL EVENTUALY BE INCLUDED IN EVERY STANDARD ENGLISH SYLLABLE ACROSS THE WORLD. We Will all beat our chest and say 'we made it happen on NL'. I wonder if seun and his flying squadron of classroom monitors would join. Amen.

It just goes to show you how popular the idiom is... The fact is that the more Seun and his posse of mods hammer on this whole garri issue, the more brouhaha it will cause.

President of the garriRepublic. Your excellency chief garriBBPreye can you create a thread on Garri asking how it has positively affect nigerians...- want to create that thread but I am giving you the honour to do so....

HOw does that affect the price of garri ?
Re: The Price Of Garri by monex(m): 7:38pm On Sep 04, 2012
1) it is better to derail a thread with "comic relief" like garri than with the "who is viewing this topic"
2) this is purely a market-driven strategy as female-bashing and tribal-bashing threads drive traffic while garri threads "seemingly" tend to reduce traffic
3) the argument that "if you don't associate or like a thread, don't derail it with the garri question" can be returned by saying "if you dont like the garri question, ignore it and focus on the thread rather than asking for garriarians to be banned". if garri is actually derailing ur thread, it simply means people are more interested in garri than your thread. is this hard to comprehend? undecided
4) is the problem with garri or with derailing a thread? 190 & his e-wifes used to derail threads in the past more than garri is doing right now.
5) if you have a busy work schedule like me, you will appreciate the comic relief "garri" brings.
6) the fight against garri is helping to strenghten it. allow it become out of trend and die naturally.
7) now i wonder how my last six statements would affect the "garri outlook for fourth qtr 2012".

i don dey high. make i go drink garri bo. grin
