Here is a story of someone I grew up with(we were neighbours)but I moved to another country.I used to visit them on holidays but her mother drove me away.

Let's start with my friend's sibling so the reader will understand well.
The elder sister was one of the beautiful girls around.Admired by many and dated many,she fell pregnant @ 18,just after completing her last class of primary school.(She failed every class,others even repeating more than three times.)So after falling pregnant she never went back to school.After four years another child came,a year later the 3rd child came along,mind u she is still living at home,not working and not married.2yrs down the line she had child number 4,accompanied by HIV.All this time her mother never said anything about the pregnancies,but I really don't know coz I wasn't around.

sibling number 2,my friend's brother dropped out at school before even completing grade7,he was 18 too wen he dropped out,now 25,have 2 kids and HIV positive and still living at home too.

Sibling number 3 is the lastborn,she is 20 now,promiscous,dropped out of school for no reason at all.

Now my friend's story;She is a hardworker,she struggled to attend high school because unlike her other 2 elder siblings she loves education,she believes in order to make it in life is to be educated.She is very humbled and had been over the years but her elder sister became very jealous when she finished middle school and she was forced to dropout.Her mother supported the elder sister and abused my friend physically @ tyms and always verbally.She cried out to her father whom was afraid of his wife,but luckily he convinced the wife to let my friend finish high school which was not easy,sometimes she would be forced to do all the chores and did not have much time to study.one day her mother broke her arm just because she didn't do the chores her elder sister ordered her to do as she was studying for (COSC)exams.its high school leaving examinations.She said it wasn't easy but she passed it and went to varsity.She got a schorlaship anyways.Her mother always spoke bad things about her at church and she left the church,she says her mother claims to be Holly only in church but at home she is something else,her sister's four kids are depending on her now,her sister also is depending on their mother for everything.Though her sister is still bitter my friend says her mother has changed attitude towards her as she is about to finish at varsity.She says her mother now treats her like her only child but she just can't buy the fake smile of a hypocrite called her mother

I know its not easy on her but she has to let go of d pain and resentment so she can move on with her lyf and also help her siblings too.its not to late for dem to go back to school,if they really want to learn,as per d gossip in church,she should ignore dat and remind herself of dis verse in d bible,God said it,i bliv it,dat settles it.not what man is gossipin about

This your friend should cut loose from that family and run far away, otherwise they'll run her down. Run her to the ground so that her life will go back to the evil pattern already established by her elder sibs.

She went to another church wr she used to go in her middle school days but her mother banned her and dragged her to where she monitored her and ruined her image.

How? Did her mother get the other kids pregnant or something? From the story it does not seem the mother did anything to the other kids except the particular one who told the story. Even then, she sounds like the average Nigerian mother who rather than handle her frustrations like an adult, chooses a target and that target seemed to be this one.

Your average Nigerian Character who does not know how to deal with her issues correctly. And she is also your average Nigerian Christian hypocrite since that Country is filled with people who, again, feel attacking one person or another, will make their problems go away.
